  1. Powder Puff Hockey is not going to work with unskilled players who can't score or check. Women in Europe play actual hockey so they should try that instead of Stigure Skating hehe. That it was even on TV is the real joke. Anything The Hockey Guy does gets more views to put it in reality. Junior Hockey or HS is vastly better even if they are removing all the checking or fighting. Sharks getting Bedard they made deal with NHL to hire Greer as GM. Then they let them off for the Kane Debt. If only LA did that they would have Mike Richards off the books :). Devils not winning with Blackwood or so. He should be the guy in the AHL as Schmid is least the second best. Senators can still lose their way into Bed? Flyers I think will finish like 10th or 20th place.

  2. Women’s sports in general just probably will never really make that much money, unless of course women decide to start watching it

  3. OK, so without Duchene, the whole Preds top-6 is gone: Granlund and Niederreiter traded, Forsberg, Johansen, Duchene, and Pärssinen injured. And yes, Jeannot was also traded.
Add having Ekholm traded, Josi, Carrier, and Borowiecki injured… and yet Preds are within shouting distance of a playoff spot. Somehow. Saroshow.

  4. The Blue Jackets are a disaster. They supposed to do something this year and it's been a joke all year. Tired of mediocrity or worse in Columbus.

  5. I don't know what is wrong with Columbus but their players and team as a whole seem to routinely be at the top of the injury list every year. I don't know if they need a better strength and conditioning program or what is wrong but it's definitely a trend.

  6. It would take a Hail Mary for the St. Louis Blues to win the Connor Bedard sweepstakes. Would be sweet, but I doubt it. Let’s Go Blues!

  7. Edmonton Oilers prospect Ryan Fanti, a goalie for the Fort Wayne Komets, scored from behind his own net in a 6-3 ECHL victory against the Rapid City Rush on Sunday. Fanti stopped a puck dumped into the zone by the Rush and took aim from about 196 feet out and put it dead center into the empty net across the ice.

  8. Imagine Bedard joining Suzuki, Slavkovsky, Caufield, Dach, Xhekaj and Harvey-Pinard… How exciting would that team be to watch!!! That's what the NHL needs.

That being said, maybe the NHL would benefit more from Bedard joining a US team, so in that case I would like to see him join the Sharks. Their brand is amazing, and I think they would sell a ton of teal Bedard jerseys.

  9. I watched the Montreal-Columbus game. The Jackets replacements aren't of NHL caliber and the regulars who are in the line-up have shut it down for the season. They have become spectators on the ice. I'm surprised how good their attendance still is. It would not have surprised me if in the last 2 months they would have averaged 8,000 per home game.

  10. Laine is out for the CBJ as well. With all of these injuries the young guys are getting a ton of NHL experience. I would love to see the Jackets get Bedard, they need a true #1 center. Could be huge for the team and market.

  11. Would be nice for a turning point for the Red Wings to finally "win" in a draft lottery🤘 had enough of 6th place tbh…

  12. Nobody can sit around and say Anaheim wouldn’t be the best landing spot for him. They would have the Canadian world Junior team (Bedard, Mctavish, Drysdale, Zellweger, Tracey) and Zegras. That’s the Toronto Maple Leafs of the Pacific.

  13. Being a Canucks fan I’d love to see Bedard go there but since that won’t happen the teams I would like him to go to the most are Montreal, Anaheim or Arizona. Arizona because he could really help their ticket sales and they might actually for once make a profit. Anaheim because Bedard has played with McTavish before and had good chemistry with him not to mention seeing him with Zegras and Terry too could make it a lot of fun and possibly a core for them to build around and lastly Montreal because they’re Canadian and for once I want to see a Canadian win a cup and having Bedard along with Suzuki and Caufield could make for a good team in a few seasons.

  14. Hofer looked doomed every time they scored a goal on him in his last game and the camera showed a close up of his face.

  15. I'll be honest, if there was a woman's hockey team near me, I would go as often as I could. Hockey is great no matter who's playing.

  16. I’d personally love to see bedard go to Arizona. With a promising core, good management, good ownership, a new building in the future. IF they get bedard he’d be a generational talent and signs that a team with YEARS of mediocrity that they are getting better and improving

  17. Shannon, a big misstep by the PHF this year is that the venue for the game wasn't announced until about 3 weeks before the game. That gave them a real short window to sell tickets and build hype.

By the way, you should have watched the game, it was an instant classic. Excellent goaltending on both sides, highlight reel goals, and an overtime winner! The PHF is good, they just need to start crushing it with marketing, and hopefully add some teams in the west (crossing my fingers for a team in Colorado eventually)

  18. I'd like to see Anaheim draft Bedard. They'll already be good soon enough, but watching Bedard play with Zegras, Terry, Drysdale, etc, would be neat.

  19. Blue jackets for sure. Keep em out east. If he comes out west I'd rather he went to the ducks. Hawks would be worst case scenerio.

  20. If they want to fill the arena for the Isobel Cup, maybe a location that can’t fill for nhl games isn’t the best choice.

  21. The only way Detroit wins the lottery is if they finish with the 14th overall and still miss on Bedard, Fantilli, and Michkov. That would be the most Detroit way of using up all their good luck for the next decade. We've moved down 8 spots over the last 6 years, so at least by moving up 10, we'd be positive by 2.

  22. The only potentially winnable game for Anaheim to close out the season is against Arizona in April, think were good

  23. San Jose is the one place you don't want Bedard to go to. Quinn will set him back years. Look what he did to Laffy, Kappo, Chytil.

  24. Nothing against Arizona and there fan base but why would they have the finals there? Womens professional hockey is fairly new and you would think that putting the finals in a traditional hockey market would make more sense. I hope women's hockey becomes more popular. Just my thoughts.
