NHL Highlights | Oilers vs. Golden Knights – March 28, 2023
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a five-point night with a goal and four helpers to help lead the Edmonton Oilers to back-to-back road wins, as they defeated division rivals Vegas Golden Knights 7-4.

After watching the first highlight, I had a feeling that was going to be a goal. And it was. If you're a defender, stop puck watching and start body watching. That Quick save should be next week's instalment of Steve's Paddle Save Emporium. Nice response on the power play after giving up a SHG just seconds earlier. The defence from both teams was sloppy in this one. A lot of turnovers that led to goals.
As fun as it was to watch Quick make that paddle save, the fact that he stopped was largely luck. He did not calculate the trajectory and figure out where his stick needed to be, he just took a shot in the dark at blocking it, and just so happened to succeed. But that entire sequence from 5:42?! PURE skill! 🤩 Man. What a pleasure it is to watch some of these…
I seriously think Nuge might have the most accurate shot on the team. McDavid's is also great, but it sure feels like Nuge just NEVER misses when he's alone with a goalie. The snipe at 2:25 is just the latest example, but he does that a lot. His ability to find 4-square-inch holes is ridiculous.
McDavid surely got a handsome bonus for hitting 60 this season. Helping his teammates looking for milestone bonuses as well. I'm sure getting Draisaitl to 50 goals matters to him, too.
