Good report Mike.
Here's my thoughts on the Kadri/Huberdeau situation.
1. Both are good players.
2. Both have struggled to find their form in Calgary although Kadri seems to have fared a bit better.
3. Both may be very hard to trade at this ooint but I would argue that trying to trade them based on this season may be premature and next season could produce a different result. Now the Flames know the type of support players needed to support those guys and they should give those two another season to really understand if it will work.
If after 1 more season it's not working….then you have to look at retooling the team.
Anyways….just my 2 cents on that topic.

That would be an interesting trade: Miller for Kuznetzov. What else would the Caps need to include? Their 2023 1st? Or maybe their 2024 1st?

I'd totally take Kuznetsov over JTM, as a Canucks fan. Especially if the Caps sweetened it with a pick or prospect. The JTM deal expires FIVE YEARS after the Kuzzy deal. If they don't get away from that JTM deal now then they never will.

I'd say the chances are higher for Miller being made captain than getting traded.
That is the first trade proposal for Miller that would make sense for both teams. Now if the Canucks could just include Oel in that package….lol
Rangers and lighting got rid of Miller for good reason. Millers is a DB and seems to not fit in the locker room. Terrible signing by a crappy Head office in Vancouver’s dumpster fire that the franchise is.
Quick question are these players banned from playing in the NHL as well or jsut yhe world juniors ? Also my thoughts are if these players are guilty i dont want them in the sport anymore im an Avs fan so that would be devastating if cale makar isnt an av anymore but i believe in innocent till proven guilty so if innocent awesome let him keep being the best defensmen in the NHL but if guilty i don't want him on the avs anymore nir the league i felt the same sentiment with Semyon Varlomov and im glad we traded him great goalie terrible person so i hope the legal process is done correctly and smoothly and the right thing happens if innocent hope they stay with the team hope Makar gets the Norris and Cohn Smyth again but if guilty lock em away and throw away the key thats my stand on it

Btw, Makar shouldn't even be mention in that case as he wasn't even at the event when the incident happened. He wasn't even in Canada when it happened. Makar is cleared. It's players who were at the event when the incident happened whom should be mentioned. Having said that, it doesn't mean mentioned players were involved in the incident.
