  1. It always surprises me how teams don't beware the players who blow their load on a contract year especially when that load came on(no pun intended) a stacked SC winning team🤷‍♂

  2. That 2025 1st round pick Montreal got for taking Monahan is starting to look pretty good right now.

  3. Why would they trade someone they just signed long term that has been a good signing so far, st least at the beginning of the seasoj

  4. Pacific division travel is a different beast that Huburdeau and Kadri (to a lesser extent) pronanly arent used to. Big part of the reason why guys always want to be in the east and not in canada

  5. I wonder if the Jets would trade for him? Let's say if they get a late 1st round pick in a Schiefele trade, maybe they flip that to Calgary for Kadri? Might be a win-win

  6. I still can't believe a team was dumb enough to sign a 32 year old to a 7×7 contract. Also the last time he was even close to being a PPG player was 2012. Last season was clearly an extreme outlier.

  7. 50 some points in a season is a NORMAL season for Nazem Kadri! Last season's 100 point pace was a career year/outlier. Kadri isn't under-performing, he's performing how he usually does and Calgary is overpaying!

  8. Kadri and Huberdeau were piggy backing off better players before they came to Calgary they're B star players. They don't carry teams. We overpaid out of desperation.

  9. Jjust my two cents on what's going on with the Calgary Flames. In my opinion, Huberdeau doesn't seem to have the confidence to step up and fill the role that the team really needs. I've noticed some Redditors blaming Sutter for not having a personality that fits with the team's pride jersey, but I don't think that's the main issue. Markstrom has been really inconsistent in his performance, which is a big problem. Kadri also seems to lack maturity, and the defensive positioning outside of penalty kill hasn't been great either. I think Andersson is being overworked, and Lucic is kind of just dead weight. Backlund isn't living up to the hype, and Kylington is still missing in action. Coleman is really just a fourth-line winger at best. Zadorov also doesn't seem to have great pre-referral vision. On the bright side, Lindholm, Toffoli, Vladar, and Andersson are doing a great job carrying the team, but where is everyone else?
