I'm an LSU alum and guess what??? We have 6 national championships and have never acted that way. Sure, over many years I'm sure you can point out one or two or maybe even three LSU baseball players who acted like tools. However, this is your entire coaching staff and every single player. You guys are an embarrassment to the SEC.

There's a difference between confidence and cockiness. The Tennessee Vols players….and their coaches….were very cocky and arrogant this entire season. That arrogance will only take you so far. This weekend they met a team that was NOT going to be intimidated by their silly ass bravado. Don't know a lot about ND baseball but so happy to see somebody take this Tennessee team down a peg or two. Look forward to the coming days and hearing the whining and excuse making as these inbred hillbillies try to explain how they could lose to a second tier (at best) quality team like Notre Dame. And after the Vols fans came out with those despicable anti-Catholic T-Shirts it's only fitting that it was a Catholic university that crushed their CWS hopes and answered their religious bigotry with class and performance.

First off, Tennessee is a GREAT baseball team. Arguably one of the best ever in college baseball. Certainly from a talent perspective. That said: kudos to ND for grinding out a three-game series win. Special tip of the cap to FR pitcher Jack Findlay.
If you go back and watch the game, there is an interesting moment when Findlay completely f*cks up an easy bunt play to allow a lead off baserunner. One of the announcers noted that Findlay just had a smile on his face after it happened. He said something to the effect of: "If I'm his coach, that reaction gives me a lot of confidence that he's ready to stay out there." Findlay went on to complete 4.2 innings of shutout ball in relief. Contrast that with the look on Tenn pitcher Chase Burns just before he gave up the HR to Brannigan. You could see it all over his face … he was still thinking about the last hitter. Then he served up a bomb to Brannigan to lose the lead. No knock on Burns intended, by the way. Also a FR, he is phenomenal. He's got MLB in his future. He was hitting 97-98 at will, throwing a devastating slider, and then added a wipeout changeup mid-way through the game for good measure. Star pitcher, no doubt. Just saying here that Findlay was a cool customer who was more than able to handle the biggest stage. A kid without a 97 mph fastball or a plus-plus slider, like half of Tennessee's staff. Moxy, a nice curve, and the will to win. That kid deserves all kinds of accolades.
Back to Tennessee: honestly, great team and a great season. Nobody should be disrespecting them here.

Don't you just love that high-yellow colour? The colour comes from yankee unit of east Tennesseans (yellow-belly Traitors) who signed up for the wrong side. The showed up in yellow-dyed uniforms and were named the YELLOW JACKETS. Here in Tennessee we in middle and west Tennessee don't claim that part of the state. Rocky FLOP! Have a great drive home.

The problem with teams like Tennessee was they weren’t used to playing behind all year so you put them in a situation down 1 with 2 1/2 innings left they don’t know what they’re doing. They’re all shaking there heads and looked scared to attack the plate. Good teams play ball when winning. Great teams play ball all game. Tennessee should never go into the conversation of being the best team ever because they got beat by a team who had no business being on the same level as them. (I’m a Notre Dane fan btw)
