Brady Tkachuk is as passionate as they come. At 6’4 220 pounds, he’s not afraid to throw his body around in a game like tonights where the Ottawa Senators took on the Detroit Red wings. This was a chippy physical game and one that the Senators looked dominate in. At the end of the 2nd, emotions spilled over a bit as right at the buzzer, Suter took a shot down the ice, to which Tkachuk took exception. Some light pushing and shoving and Tkachuk proceeded to take on the entire Detroit bench at one time and this exchange was honestly pretty hilarious. The Wings definitely missed Rasmussen's physical play. We could certainly have used him last night.

Watched the whole game, it wasn’t the physical play that beat us it’s the repeated dumbass penalties called on us. Very hard to win when the team gets 6 penalties. We also really miss Rasmussen, this would’ve been a perfect game for him.
Challenging bench while refs are all over him preventing anything from happening. Still though, at least 1 red wing player should have gone after him in the game.

Let's be honest. The Red wings went on an insane west coast road trip, had to come all the way to the east coast for a game, got four days at home, then had to do a back to back on the road immediately after, I know that's the NHL and every team does that, but let's stop pretending this was a fresh Detroit team, Tkachuk bullied a bunch of exhausted men, so incredible.
I would like to see that glue eating 4 th grader try that with a real team. Ottawa is going nowhere.

I was a Flyers fan for many many years until they traded my boy Giroux. Watching the way he gels with all these kids on my new favorite team is so much fun. I'd forgotten what it was like to enjoy watching hockey games. Watching Chuck do his thing and Timmy casually waltz through defenders brings a tear to my eye.
The Wings are the cockiest underachieving team I can remember in a long time. This is just what they needed. Add another year to the rebuild.

As a Detroit fan, the way this game played out made me very frustrated. Not only were the senators playing dirty, they didn't get many penalties. Thee were 4-5 missed calls. But on the redwings side, they got like 5-6 calls that were not even close to penalties. They ended up playing a man down for almost an entire period of the game.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone bribed the refs…
Too bad he only did it because he knew as soon as a Wing jumped on the ice they would get a penalty! Big man when protected by the refs…..
He had two full games to challenge the Montreal bench when Arber Xhekaj was sitting on it and passed. Despite the bad blood between those two teams. Just saying.
This was great for Detroit. It prompted the full Yzerplan, something desperately needed. The playoffs were always a pipe dream.
We need more players like him. Not less.
And certainly less players like Jake Walman who is no small dude but plays less tough than anyone reading these comments could.

I like Tkachuk but when you get overly mad at someone and their teammates don't fight you over it at the end of a period, it's not because you're tough. It's just not a time anyone is going to fight you.

Tkachuk is exactly that, a bully. As soon as there is someone as tough as him, willing to stand up to him, he cowers like a child. He can only be aggressive and dominant if he feels secure in his position of power over the opponent.

From a Red Wing fan. When your team captain acts like a bully, it never looks good for him or the team. The Sens took it to the Wings in back to back. Whooped them good. But the Sens still have a ways to go to make the play offs. Lost a bit of respect for Mr. Tkachuk. Act like the captain, not an instigator. The odds are against the Sens making the play offs. Just like the Red Wings.
