That was ok
we let in a total of 3 goals in 3 games, including games against bruins & canes.
defense is looking good and every line looks dangerous, i don’t know where these bolts went, but thank god they’re back
also no goals for Ovi, someone who seemed actively useless this game, that’s a W from me
That was the strongest showing in months. Perfect time for it too.
The win vs the Canes was more impressive, but this was the most complete team win I’ve seen us have in a while. The Canes game was basically our top line taking them to the woodshed and Vasy just denying anything and everything they tried(D was good too tbf). Top to bottom we looked excellent tonight. 2 goals by Maroon, 2 very nice assists by Cirelli, Bellemare looked excellent and assisted the Stammer goal, Jeannot had a ton of hits, Vasy was excellent as ever, Hagel’s forecheck remains the best in the league, well earned goal by Cernak on a solid night from him, Heddy was flying around the ice, Kuch and Point both had several nice looks, Killer with a goal off a nice assist from Sergy who shut down several breakaway attempts from the Caps, and we held Ovechkin to one shot through 2.5 periods(idk if he had any down the stretch or not). REALLY solid win all around.
Unrelated, but can we talk about how shitty Ticketmaster is? I sat outside of Amalie for an hour trying to buy fucking tickets and the god damn app kept throwing error codes over and over
Fluke-ass goal ruined the shutout, a Lightning fan must have said it somewhere.

We forced a lot of errors on them. Good to see us retaining the puck after turnovers in their zone. Seemed like every time they looked up to pass up ice, someone was there with a good check and stealing the puck. Glad Cirelli started shooting more as the game went. Was holding back on some good opportunities.
Killer has 24 goals this year, that’s low key awesome. Very underrated
