  1. Before we really throw Huberdeau under a the bus , consider that he's playing in a defensive minded Darryl Sutter system. I could argue everyone on that Flames squad is having a down year. Toffoli being the anomaly .

  2. Yeah this trade looks bad now but it's only been one season. Mathew Tkachuk is Keith Tkachuks son so he's got the pedigree. He'll play well anywhere. Brady too. But Hubredeau just went from a place that didn't really have rabid fans who only care about the Panthers and watch every game like Calgary does. He's now under a microscope and it might not be so comfortable for him. Plus he's on a team that just got really shook up and are looking to find their place. I'd give him another season to really get a good look at him in Calgary. He's a good player, he just needs to get used to being a flame. But yeah I think Calgary should have gotten someone else for Mathew Tkachuk. I know that's a tough trade to make but Tkachuk is worth more than what they got. Maybe the GM will get fired. A flame getting fired.🔥💥

  3. what would happened if Oilers drafted tchachuk at 4 instead of puljujarvi in that draft? mcdavid draisatl tkatchuk line?

  4. CGY was caught in a tough situation forced to make a trade there. Trouble was the value just was not available. At a glance it may have looked like a good trade but you get Huberdeau after an outlier season. It's the only time in his career he has put up #'s at that level and quite unlikely a level that he will reach again. I think there might be 4-5 players in the league that gets value in that trade and JH simply isn't one them.

  5. Florida plays a loose style, lots of offense. Calgary has Sutter, and he HATES offense, it scares the man. You can't put up points in that system. Both Florida and Calgary are much worse this season, the trade did not help either teams success

  6. Sutter played Hubes on his off side for most of the season…I think I know where the problem is.

  7. The Flames & Panthers are both outside of the playoffs, and the Blue Jackets are bottom dwellers.
19 & 13 went to cities and teams where they could hide their failures, and play out their days as NHL employees.
They finally realized that 97 & 29 up the QE2 are better than they could ever hope to be, so they bailed.
The Flames win and lose as a team this season, and I'd rather have that than an overpaid pair of divas who only play well when coddled.

  8. I always defended Tkachuk when people said he got his points because of Gaudreau. Just like in junior when supposedly Marner was the only reason Tkachuk got points. Gaudreau wasn't even a 100 point player before playing with Tkachuk and now the argument can be made that Gaudreau needed Tkachuk to hit 100+

  9. When the trade was made, most Calgary fans were calling Treliving a genius before any players played their first game!

  10. Combining points with a D who isn't on PP1 does not really say much.

Neither team look like they making playoffs so who cares I think.

  11. Huberdeau needs that goal scoring center. He’s a playmaking winger so he needs someone who’s going to put the puck in the net.

  12. I totally get the excitement around Tchuck, but actually look at the Panthers' place in the standings this year vs. last.

  13. Hube and weegar are struggling as a result of poor coaching. Hell the team as a whole just isn’t playing together at all, they need a change up front.
