  1. the lack of defense I feel is also because the role players are probably not given the ball enough.

  2. "Davis Bertans currently has the worst contract in the league and it's not even close"
BAH GAWD, THAT'S BEN SIMMONS' MUSIC!!!!

  3. Agreed on your analysis that Kyrie trade made 0 sense and they’re paying the price for it

  4. i watched all games and to me its on the coaches for not being tougher on players, not playing McGee who is the only good rebounder and show blocker, (that itself deserves a coach to get fired), lack of leadership, like luka said its been less fun for him this year because of things off the court

  5. The west is stacked, And the mavs have lost in the 4th quarter by couple points. Trading DoE the best defender hurt, keeping bullock is a liability

  6. Kyrie’s numbers are always going to be great. But he needs the ball to do it and plays no defense. Dallas trading for Kyrie ultimate fixed none of their issues.

  7. people thinking having more star power is better than surrounding a star with the needed talent is the same. The mavs were missing a legitimate big or another off the dribble player…the Lebron strategy is not for every team

  8. Just because you can make videos about the NBAs past, you clearly have zero understanding of basketball games and just have narratives. Reading of stats, and using narratives doesn't mean you're making any kind of analysis. You don't even mention the current Mavs biggest issues. The narrative that Mavs needs to give Luka more help is straight nonsnse. You're just a casual reading stats.

  9. Doncic always the one holding the Ball he want to shoot it while they double team him why not pass directly ang quickly to his team mates who are free to shoot. This Luka wants to grab it all even if he can not. Better trade Luka he is not the star there. Why not get another. There are so many players who can make the Dallas champion.

  10. Weak bodies, no inside presence on O or D, Luka stops playing at times, No Luka D, poor trades (including Kyrie), no rebounding. START FROM SCRATCH, get rid of all the marginal defensive players. Hit the weights.

  11. It's almost like basketball is played by 5 players at a time and games are won by rosters, not two players. Adding another option to give Luka some rest was a good idea, making that addition a ball dominant iso player while having to give up some of your most important pieces to get him was a bad one.

  12. hmmm, is it the one man wrecking ball giving them 33-9-8, but is white and looks like he doesnt play defense OR is it the whole damn team plus the coach ???

  13. I disagree that Davis Bertans doesn’t have enough quality. He rarely gets his chance and you all need to realize what type of player he really is. No argue that he doesn’t defend well, though he is an elite shooter. To me similar type to Kyle Korver or other 3pt shooters that lack in defense.
Ps Hardy looks promising kinda similar to Brunson, he needs more minutes.

  14. How can you leave out Jaden Hardy when it comes to young talent? Dude is a bucket, just needs minutes.

  15. I said 3 years ago since Luka played in NBA that he will not have a ring, because he plays iso-ball like Houston's James Harden

  16. This was a bad management move especially since they were few months away from the playoffs team chemistry is hard to build. They risked that for kyrie. When kyrie was in the celtics his injury pushed the team further in the playoffs it helped team chemistry and helped rozier and the others nurture.

  17. it was a disaster from the get go! first as far as i know no nba teams became succesful with their allstars playing at the same position! second no teams has ever won the championship by offense alone you need like rodmans who are willing to do the dirty jobs and doesnt care if he score or not,

  18. Christian wood has honestly been a much better defender than the narrative about him goes and was a big part in why Dallas went on a 7 game win streak when he started. Despite the media kyrie has been good for Dallas and fans have been questioning kidds coaching since November and its a big reason why they went from solid playoff spot at 4th and now may miss the post season.

  19. Luka is very good but has no leadership skill. Needs a superstar presence to lead his team, not him alone.

  20. Duncan Robinson is probably the worst contract in the NBA. Its really close between him and Bertans, but his contract is longer if I'm not mistaken

  21. I disagree with you. It was the coaching staff issue. They didnt adjust enough after acquiring Kyrie for the offense and defense side.

  22. LOL if Luka is "the future face of the NBA" – we are all fudged… No defense NBA is impossible to watch. I never rated Luka a lot and I am a European, been following him since he was 16.
He can sell T-Shirts and bring people to watch the game, he can't win games.

  23. Dinwiddie and Dorian have been pretty poor for Nets and Mavs didn't win without Luka til they were traded and Green and Hardy stepped up

  24. I think green has the potential to be a good player he just needs better guidance. Luka is to busy playing with the refs and not listening to coach Kidd. He should be focusing on bettering his teammates instead of trying to get every foul call. That seems selfish to me.
