I guess if you’re down a goal all you gotta do is slap yourself in the face with a stick

  2. PaperMoonShine

Letting Joshua and PDG take the faceoff in OT. Who said Tocchet wasn’t on team tank?

  3. XxSavage1017xX

THE REFS ARE SO GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO TRULY THE BEST REFEREES IN ANY SPORT

  4. SamiMadeMeDoIt

Death by 1000 ~~cuts~~ former Canucks.

    *And the refs

  5. Feralwestcoaster

Well, the refs are fucking useless but I’m ok only getting one point. So useless though.

  6. Blastichu

Refs handing this game on a silver platter, love to see it.

  7. afterbirth_slime

We got fucking Tyler’d from all sides that game.

  8. Dorkside

I guess the Canucks beating the Flames and Vancouver taking over production of season 2 of Last of Us would’ve been too abusive of Calgary for one day.

  9. Interbrett

Flames over Jets in playoffs Imo. And we don’t need the extra points now.

  10. Remember trading a 2nd for Tyler Foli and not resigning him for… reasons

    Also, Myers sucks balls

  11. overscaled

Well, the refs and the pair of 55 and 57 handed the flames a much needed win.

  12. Talax604

Oof, chalk it up to another game won by the dirty fucking zebras.

Petey when they were talking to him in the box, he shoulda just waved a white towel in their face.

  13. Reddititfortat

Brisebois sucks. Why is he getting ice time over guys like rathbone, wolanin or even juulsen??

Like he has probably been averaging single handedly being responsible for 1-2 goals a game for a big stretch here

  14. monkey314

Honestly, Demko is singlehandedly denying us a top 5 pick.
This team should not be bailed out like the banks.

  15. ChasmRift21

I’m usually pretty chill when it comes to the occasional missed call or blaming the refs but Petey taking that penalty was complete bullshit. Lead to them tying the game, Brisebois getting hurt, and a complete undeserved OT win for the Lames.

  16. Salty about a terrible call, but serious question: What are the Flames meant to be?? If I’m a Calgary fan, how do you see this team doing anything? We looked terrible tonight and this game went to OT, and they probably would’ve lost in regulation. Marky just doesn’t have it at the moment and Toffoli seems to be the only one that is interested in scoring.

  17. TheRealTopOG

My partner “Well this just shows Markstrom is better than Demko.”

Me: “That’s not how it works. It’s a team game.”

    Her: “Sure it is”…

    Wait whaaa?

  18. As much as that last call by the linesman was garbage, the skaters didn’t do themselves any favours either. Myers was directly responsible for the first two goals. Joshua has to score on that chance, and missed a bunch of others. I honestly don’t really like him on the Petey-Kuzmenko line in terms of finishing ability. I’d imagine Mikheyev takes that spot back next season anyway though

  19. Level-Interest5130

The media for hockey is just so bad. If this was the NFL or NBA, you would have media pundits talking about that horrid call for the next three days.

For some reason, NHL media people seem to think it’s ‘bad journalism’ to ever dare to question anything wrong this league does.

  20. kneejerk_nuck

Benning’s Flames are better than Allvin’s Canucks. Should’ve kept Toffoli, Stecher and Riley Tanev.

  21. GangreneMachine

Tyler Foli continues to make us his literal bitch

  22. Bs ref call that led to a tying goal when it should have never gone to OT. I thought putting Joshua/PDG out there was a bad idea and of course they get scored on and CGY gets the win. Anyway great game from Garland/Beauv/Aman line. Horrible game from Myers and I thought Boeser/Miller/PDG struggled even worse than usual defensively tonight. Anyway at least the game was fun for pride night!

  23. AppealToReason16

Are we really blaming the refs when the team is outshot 2-1? Really? Are we really going to do that?

  24. NotoriousBananaHavoc

Embarrassing game for the Flames like they had to claw back to win and they think they are a playoff team HA!!!!!! Aiden though he could be the Loui we wanted and needed getting those dirty goals around the net.

  25. dachshundie

I blame Jim Benning for letting Toffoli walk. He always seems to score on us.

Still choked we essentially just used him as a rental for a team that clearly was missing a few pieces before being a true cup contender.

  26. Mekdinosaur

I still remember when Huggy got bloody by a high stick and no call early in the season. And here I watch the Lames get Power Plays from hitting themselves in the face. What a shit year. Also fucking Myers.

  27. Batsinvic888

I sincerely hope we fuck them out of the playoffs in our last home game.

  28. phantompowered

Still salty about losing Toffoli. Always liked him.

  29. jackfrench9

The sooner we get Myers and OEL out of our club the better. Useless hockey players.

  30. Is the OEL trade a candidate for worst in NHL history?

  31. prophetofgreed

If this game mattered, this would’ve been an infuriating loss…

  32. I feel bad for the people who bought tickets to a hockey game and had to watch Duehr win the Freestyle Dive competition

  33. nite_awol

Tafoili and Stecher were playing like tryhards tonight trying to impress their ex.

  34. International_Pen478

I been a tanky for a while but I liked watching them win, I think they will be better for next season. But I always want them to win vs the alberta teams-always!

That was strange call by the ref though. Very suss…

  35. pennepasta14

I was at the game tonight and had a blast chirping the Flames fans. They were chirping us back!
Great experience and even if we lost, that was a fun game to be at

  36. julesieee

Me in this subreddit: “*We play our last home game against Calgary again next week so that will be our revenge game (Petey’s revenge) that will keep Flames out of the playoffs.*” 😆😂🫡

Also me running to the Flames sub: *”We need Flames to do well and make the playoffs so they can stop the Soilers! If I have to root for a playoff team, it’s the Calgary Canucks!*” 🔥🐋 “*Now, may I interest you in the fine specimen that is Tyler Myers?*” 🦒

    👀

  37. McDonough got his first career goal.

That “high sticking” call was one of the stupidest things ever. Slaps himself in his own face and goes after Petey after the play ends.

E: My dad the Flamer made a joke and said “why not try to hit themselves in the face and see if it’ll get a penalty every game”
