Please don’t play Kasper 9 minutes in his first game between Luff and Chaisson on the 4th line and really give the kid a chance right away.
All the 23 and under players need to up skill their shooting in the off season. Hopefully, couple of them can return with some serious work put into their shot and it becomes a story of their offseason. Ambitious players would do that

Man, most of r/hockey is losing their minds over Levi’s win over the Rangers. I obviously don’t follow the Sabres but they’re acting like this is the final piece of the puzzle for them. The kid had amazing college stats, definitely going to be jealous if it’s **another** team in our conference that just *has* a young Vezina candidate out of nowhere, especially since they already have a system that actually generates offense.
I think gabe Perrault is a sleeper this dude could fall to our second first round pick got damn

Was at the Spirit game last night. What an absolute blast and still trying to convince the wife for season tickets. I didn’t make it to Thursdays game so wasn’t sure how the reffing was but have to say it was terrible last night and pretty bias. Flint had 7 power plays to Spirits 2/3 and Spirit didn’t get their first until late into the 2nd period. It was clearly pretty biased, I know playoff hockey has less enforcement but man were the Firebirds doing some pretty egregious things. They targeted Parekh the entire game, hitting him high, late hits, etc. He laughed it off but man I was expecting an injury sooner or later.
Lombardi was pretty quiet last night, could tell he was trying to carry the Firebirds. He’s got some real skill and can dangle real well. Last night at least he was trying to go through one too many players but the Spirits were really good at shutting him down. His defensive play I wasn’t that impressed with, wasn’t able to win faceoffs or really get players off of the puck. I know it’s one game so can’t make a sound judgement yet but he may end up being a winger I could see. For quite a few shifts in the 2nd and 3rd Spirit had someone man marking him his entire shift which I haven’t seen before in hockey lol.

I’ve been to two jets vs wings games and the wings have lost both. It was fun last night but still a little disappointing losing 6-2.

Given draper and this amateur scouting staff love overagers in mid to late rounds I wonder if they draft Cole knuble. Son of Mike who’s in the griffins coaching staff. Having a big year in the ushl slightly undersized but high skill high finishing ability with some highlight level goals. I thought there was a chance last year since we had 2 7th round picks but with his production pop I wonder if he gets the mazur treatment and gets up to the 5th -4th round range.
