Pitlick hit not be good and not necessary, Bergeron fall on ice not good and can be injured. But Marchand reaction be too much, and he not fighting with Pitlick, and I not understand what it be? If want to fight – drop gloves and fight, but it not right to jump on opposite player and bet him by glove in face.
When did a two-way forward like Patrice become an untouchable in this league ? CLEAN HIT and it was not even that hard. Patrice waa just not ready for it. Then the Rat throws his gloves to the ice and jumps Pitlick. Rat throwing haymakers while the other guy is on his back. League is becoming a joke !!
Never touched the puck. How is this clean ?? Shoulder to the face. Any team including the Habs would take exception to that. Need to keep your top players on the ice. Im in my 50’s now and been watching hockey for 4 decades and back then this would have got real ugly after this hit.
Remember when punching while someone was on the ground was bad form. For the rat it is the only way he fights. He needs to first jump them and then attack. If that doesn't work he skates away and play victim. I wish Allen would have thrown a few blockers on the rat.
