We are a few years from being a serious cup contender. Giving players stay healthy and we continue into the direction we are heading now.
howie meeker was great tom larschied was great and garret was great….hope we get another good one to fill the role.
In this last season, John Garrett was the cleverest and wittiest that I had ever heard over a broadcast. All of this while maintaining a balanced and unbiased approach to the game, the players, and the teams involved. Garrett was not only funny but whenever he took exception to a call or a decision, he could back himself up with class, dignity and best of all, humour. It's as shame to see a man such as himself leave at the height of his craft because it leaves us with doubts as to whether he truly reached his pinnacle.
Love Cheech. I'd rather Shorthouse retired actually. Jannick Hansen would be a good replacement.
The more I think about it the more I want to see OEL next year paired with Hronek. If OEL is to ever have a comeback year it'll be next year with OEL

I’m happy with hronek And his play even though he got no points yesterday my favourite Garrett memory was when he did the Canucks and cars video with a canucks player there is also a lot of other memories to choose from but the canucks and cars comes to mind
So sad Cheech is leaving. He's still as sharp as a tack!
Perhaps some consideration could be for Ray Ferraro. I'd like that.
🤓 Garret has been fun; a little "homey", but in today's colour commentator (and play-by-play guys, for that matter), "objectivity" has seemed to have gone my the way-side. He always seemed to be the great 'backup' teammate, doing whatever he was asked (yes, I'm old enough to have watched him in his playing days with The Canucks), and he just seems in every way, a class act (Bet you'd take a long while to find anyone with a bad word about him). I hope they can find a competent replacement; a ex-player would be nice – I can do without the analytics guy in that position. With NHL Centre Ice package, we're able to listen to A LOT of the PBP and Colour guys around the league, and learn how LUCKY we were to have had two of the greatest PBP announcers in the history of the game: Robson and Hughson!!!; by comparison, ugh (the obvious ex-baseball style commentators are the worst, getting surprised when a goal is actually scored, like they should have been paying attention to what was happening on the ice?!?!?), and then the ex-player, who is there for ??? unknown reasons (like the cliché-infused boring trite commentary of Louie DeBrusk in Edmonton (UGH!)… "That was their game plan, to try scoring early…" / "You can tell he really wanted the puck…" DOH! No, REALLY? Hope they find a good one! (Kevin Bieksa, COME HOME!) 🥰
