  1. If any other player was doing what Hutson is doing in the ncaa that was over 5"9 fans would be screaming for their teams to go out and get him. Axorimg wise this is going to be Makar in hobbit form…

  2. This is the DUMBEST idea I've seen in a long time! It's like trading McDavid for Bedard at the draft. Will Bedard be better? Maybe. Willing to bet your life on it? In Edmonton you'd actually be betting your life on it. They'll lynch you.

  3. Montreal's fans have been burned too often with trading young prospects that blossom into stars.. Mcdonaugh … Sergachev … to name just two defenders we always regretted, So most would have an instinctual reaction of no don't trade our brightest prospect just to regret it down the line

  4. Also, considering we just traded the only other Right D that was worth anything in the whole freaking Red Wings system and we have a ton of Left D's, some that may be better than Lane Hutson, erm Simon Edvinson, this trade makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Clearly Daryl has no idea about the Red Wings and what is going on with them.

  5. Red wings should never ever trade Seider. Heā€™s the future of this franchise

  6. Lane hutson is the most overrated prospect and i had him going in the 1st round. (Shocker its a habs one)

  7. As Kris Draper said, adding a 6'4" 200 pound RHD with a 7 foot wingspan is something you can never pass on.
Seider would have had better numbers with Mannheim before the 2019 draft…. but his club coaches (as well as German national coaches) told Moritz to concentrate on being a stay at home defenseman.
Seider will be a Red Wing for quite awhile.

  8. As a Habs fan, No we wont do it, I think seider is the better player (obviously now he is, but he will always be) Hutson is great he is obviously a fan favourite already, but he really is still to small, but if he becomes a top 4 d for us then a W

  9. As a Habs fan, I honestly don't care if Hutson becomes a Makar or Fox. If They could get Seider right now I'd take that and run. Gimme the guaranteed top-pairing defenseman lol. Only way I see the habs getting Seider is Hutson +++

  10. Hutson is hugely talented but also small, and you can't fix that. He 100% will not be as effective against grown men where 99% of them are bigger and stronger than he is. Even if he can produce at Seiders level, Seider is a monster and a terror on the blue line that Hutson can never be.

  11. Lane Hudson for Gustav Lindstrom maybe. Knowing Yzermam he'll probably get a first round, second and another prospect.

  12. As an Habs fan, we've horrobly traded many defenseman (Ryan McDonagh for Scott Gomez … Mikhail Sergatchev for Jonathan Drouin) and 1 good trade (Alexander Romanov for Kirby Dach) … I find that Lane Hutsun is the most electrifying young blueline prospect (that we haven't traded) since Chris Chelios … but … as a fantasy player I have both Hutson and Seider in my dynasty pool … Hutson is the first because in 10 years I only drafted 2 Canadiens: Weber and Suzuki, but both before they were traded to Montreal hahahaha … So, all in all, I would keep Hutson. With this Montreal core stacked up on d-men (and on a rebuild), I would try to get nice returns for other d-men in the lineup or prospect pool. In the end, I feel Hutson will get his peak when MTL wil be done with reconstruction.

  13. Montreal always overvaluing there prospects/players (So does almost every other fanbase) but this is such a bad trade for the wings who are trying to get better not set themselves back another year or 2, on top of the fact Seider is proven as a top pairing TWD with size and skill, Hutson is unproven and I don't even recognize the other prospects name meaning they're probably (left over scraps thrown in) (Which other fanbases also do with trade proposals (I'm also guilty of this)) but its just not a trade Detroit would do.

  14. Hey could you make a video on Montreal passing on Brad Lambert for Filip Mesar and Jagger Firkus for Owen Beck. I think its going to hurt.

  15. 1. Don't force your laugh it's uncomfortable dude. 2. This is just another bandwagon Detroit fan who was never hugged enough as a kid so he says outlandish stuff to get attention. Probably won his fantasy hockey league once so now he thinks he's a pro GM. Realistically, Detroit needs the defense, our scoring talent will come in time even though people are impatient as hell. This year's draft is loaded at Center and that's probably one of Yzermans area of focus. with Edvinsson and Wallinder potentially the next ones up he probably doesnt wanna rely on FA signings as much. I'd imagine unless Yzerman uses his picks to make a huge FA signing then he's banking on getting a good score with this year's draft where he won't have to wait long for them to make the transition to the NHL like Seider and Raymond did.

  16. If Montreal didnā€™t already have big hitting strong defencemen such as guhle, xhekaj, then it would be worth it, but I say take a chance on Hutson as if he does reach his sealing to become a Hughes or makar type PP beast on blue line itā€™s worth it over another big hitting/offensive defencmen

  17. As a Habs fan, im all over this! Heā€™d fit our team perfectly! Yes Hutson is breaking college records but thereā€™s no guarantee he brings it to the NHL level! He didnā€™t shine in the world juniors imo so we shall see. Seider has already proven heā€™s got what it takes! Detroit wouldnā€™t do this lol

  18. As a Habs fan, I already feel for Hutson! The media and fans there have this guy so ā€œ Hutson Hypedā€ that the pressure to put these numbers up at the NHL level could be the demise of him! The expectations are wayyyyy to high! Let him play a few games and see if he can handle the rough stuff with the men, as he wonā€™t be playing with boys anymore!

  19. From Detroitā€¦.
    WHAT?!?!
    OHN!!!
Your talking about trading a much bigger more physical Nick Lidstrom whoā€™s a kid and rookie of the year,
    for an unproven college player???

    Yeah right.
Hanging up while laughing at the GMā€™s office at the LCA!!!

I think that might be one of the few things that would knock Stevie off of his pedestal in Detroit.

    HARD
    NO!!!

  20. Look no disrespect to the prospect I know hes doing very well in college and all but ain't no damn way in hell I'd even consider this trade a good idea I'd probably just have no favorite team if we made this trade for like a year then cheer for the wings agian seider won the Calder then this year he is a more all around complete dman had a slow start but he has picked it up hes a proven top 2 level dman in the nhl that other guy could come to the Nhl and bust like jimmy vesey imagine trading like timo Meier or Mike rantanen for jimmy vesey when he hadn't even played a nhl game yet nae

  21. Yeah I donā€™t see Seider being traded away anytime soon. When Perron retires heā€™s undoubtedly getting that A. If you go to a wings game youā€™d be shocked at how many Seider jerseys youā€™d see. The people love him
