  1. yes he has alot of potential
questions though:he plays where on what line?
is he ahead of slaffy or rhp or whomever the habs draft this year with that top pick?
trade bait with barron or harris.im not getting invested in players until after the draft and trades.
    nice wall.

  2. Looking good bud. With all the talent we have coming up I'm pretty happy for the future. Hope to see Logan M up soon and Hutson get a look. Can't say I'm part of the frenzy over Pierre Luc Dubois though. Anyway ; keep up the good work ! GHG

  3. Nice to see your backdrop is coming along Drew. Re: Barron, he is a right Dman, still very young and the right side is one of our weaker points…I would be hesitant to give up on him just yet (unless you can get something significant back of course…ex: top end young goalie?) but I do agree that he needs to find some consistency in his game (Matheson needs to mentor him and he needs to add some edge to his game)…sooner rather than later. Montreal definitely have pieces/assets that they can move to hopefully speed up the re-build but I also do not like the idea of giving up on some of our prospects, esp the ones we have not seen enough of. As for PLD…I definitely feel for Winnipeg as they are in a very weak position…PLD holds all the cards so if the rampant rumours of him wanting to play for Mtl and no one else, and Hughes is comfortable with the character level in PLD, a transaction is inevitable but what goes back the other way better not be much. It will be interesting to see who/what you come up with DD.

I expect this off-season to be yet another interesting one for the Habs continued re-build. The draft may not top what happened last year but I still expect Hughes&co to pull off something unexpected.

  4. If they trade for PLD, I would definitely throw in Floridas first pick and Edmundson and a top young prospect

  5. Barron isn't going anywhere, they have 3 RD prospects, he is one of them. PLD is a 60 point player, habs don't need him, he has quit on 2 teams already, why would the habs want that?

  6. Too many small players Florida had 8 Forwards 6-2 or more We had 7 forwards under 5-11.

  7. disagree as Barron being a RHD and we need this position filled badly he will be a long term solution….. he has had a bumpy year like most Habs prospects and i a few years I will hopefully see you eat your words:-)

  8. Dubois isn't wanted.
Coming out in public stating he wants to play in Montreal is a red flag

  9. Evans is at the moment a bottom 6 forward. You need to stand out as a bottom 6 forward and one thing I like about Evens is that he really seems to have a team first mentality. I can be wrong about the guy and he might just come off as a team first guy but the way he was happy and excited when Farrell scored and turned to him immediately to tell him he scored looked genuine! I wasn't the biggest fan of his when he first started playing for the Canadiens. I didn't dislike him but I didn't like him either. But I've liked what I've seen from him this season. He kissed Pitlick's helmet after a goal. A little weird but good for Evans! Share the love!! Haha! Gallagher genuinely seemed happy for him too. These are the type of players I can cheer for. I'd take Evens over Marchand any day. It means so much more to me to see a team with Gallaghers and Evens win a cup than a bunch of creeps on the Bruins. FTR I don't hate every Boston players. Some I like or have no problems with. But others like Marchand and Greer I hate and would have a hard time to cheer for the Habs if they played for them.

My gut tells me Barron's ceiling is high than Harris. But I like Harris the player. Seems like another great team guy. So if the Habs chose Harris over Barron, I'm ok with that.
