  1. Marner, Tavares, Kerfoot – too soft, Reilly, Brodie – too soft. Many will hate me for saying that but just watch the last two 1st rounds. One more to throw in there – Nylander.

  2. This Leaf organization is headed towards losing 10 payoff series in a row & you’d never know it.

  3. Bah center of the hockey universe my back side. Its the center of the English media nothing more. The Leaf's have tons of fans, despite the lack of success, but to call it the center of the Hockey universe ignores Montreal and I am sorry but that's not smart. As for soft teams, both the panthers and the Leaf's are guilty in past seasons for sure, but so has most of the teams at different times over the years. Its no secret that each team that the Leaf's have played in the playoffs have all made sure to play them as physical as possible and its worked each year, so the additions that were made this season are a big step in the right direction as far as I am concerned. A team can be non soft without having to rely on goons, it just has to be willing to engage in those extra curricular shoving matches between stoppages, by going to the places they need to to be successful like the corners or the front of the net , by punishing the people who try to get in those areas in the defensive end. Having one guy who can come on and try and force a fight does nothing, the whole team has to buy in. There is also the mental part of the game, you can really tell when one team is getting in the others heads, when all the pressure is on a given group. That is why playoff hockey is so good, you have to be a complete team to win, and that's hard, when some of the attributes that help you in a 7 game series can be a hindrance over a diluted regular season, it really is a different game. In Fairness to the Leaf players, the pressure they have faced and will face again in the playoffs is on a different level then what the non Canadian teams face, and it has clearly been a factor in some of those past failures, but if they can get the ball rolling who knows what they can do.

  4. When Nylander can't go into corners because he's built like Miley Cyrus, yes! When you can't tell Marner and Ovis son apart at the all star comp, yes! When bunting plays like a glorified beer leaguer that hasn't been punched in the face yet, yes! Another 1st round exit for the leafs again.

  5. It took the Panthers 64 days to have a full healthy roster. With that being said, their complete lack of depth has showed throughout the season. I expect a busy offseason for the Cats.

  6. Lets see Sittler-Mcdonald go to semis. Gilmour-Clark go to semis. Marner- Matthewa nada. Character matters.

  7. Leafs are the softer team at least florida made it out of round 1 last year in a rare playoff apperance
