It’s easy to forget that you have a generation of hockey fans that never seen a player on the active roster take the ice without a helmet. The last time this happened: the 1996-97 season.
As much as I respect players that went without helmets and there is a sense of nostalgia for bygone days, I don’t really consider them warriors for risking injuries. Like if helmets somehow became optional again I’d think it’s badass but I wouldn’t want any of my favorite players pulling this off
