  1. I don't think much has changed with the leafs I don't think they had grown into the type of team that can or does play a FULL 60 min or show up every night ( I SO hope I am wrong ) All teams have ups and downs but it just feels different with the boys. You are always on the edge as to who will show up to play and for how long

  2. Okay, just because worse exists doesn't mean Bunting isn't a shit disturbed that officials are sick and tired of. Yes, officiating is trash. Yes, there's evidence to support that sports gambling surges might affect outcomes. Yes, it's very clear officials have bias and nobody is trying to deny that. But trying to play Bunting as some kind of victim here is really not a good look. Bunting KNOWS full well that he's got a bias about him, tons of players do, and oftentimes they just sit down and SHUT UP and accept their shitty officiating and MOVE ON. It's stupid, it's shitty, but it's been ramping up for years and I recently recall you taking this stance some time ago, telling people that this is just the way it is and you should just accept it. But, what? Not now? We should take a stance and draw lines in the sand NOW?
Which is it? Accept the officiating as shitty and just be mature enough to not antagonize the situation or take a stand and face the league and repercussions to try and fix things? Which is it?

  3. Bunting was being shoved around by at least 3 Wings after the play as well and didn't retaliate physically but still got the misconduct. Bunting should be up for Byng at this point with his composure the last few games.

  4. HUNTING BUNTING
I've been talking about this Bunting no call situation with my family for some months. It's really blatant at this point. I've heard people come up with all sorts of reasons for it: Bettman, Canadian teams, prejudice, etc. It's REALLY becoming sad. As fans, we want a clean game. Yessss it's fun to see a fight and the occasional cross, but nobody wants to see serious injury. The refs and the league are clearly saying it's okay to target guys like Bunting. It's not right. I love to hate Marchand and love when he gets called, but we NEED consistency.

  5. According to statmuse, the leafs are 20th in league with 274 penalties in the 22-23 season!! The Bruins are 5th with 338 penalties and the Panthers are 1st with 355!!

  6. The Hurricanes can roll the dice on a fragile goalie like Andersen because their allows for it. Maybe the Leafs can as well, but their defense has to be on point for it to work. I believe their defense is good enough, but they have to be aware of it and execute.

  7. Cam Atkinsons stick was soft…….just like your Leafs! And I'm sure Brad s very sorry about it because he is a kind and caring human being…And on another note, if Bunting wasn't a dirty ass player he wouldn't be getting the calls against him that he is…..As for Kadri, it took you five years to admit his actions were suspension worthy! Get lost! 63 HOF! MM

  8. Every fan thinks the refs are out to get their team. But when it becomes irrational is when you think the refs are ONLY out to get your team.

  9. Wow! Great ep. Well said about the refs. And isn't just in the NHL refs are, to put it nicely, less than fair:(

  10. He was called for embellishment on the second crosscheck because he did. If he didn't the refs wouldn't have been able to call it. That simple. And if you viewed it honestly you wouldn't have had to yell for five minutes.

  11. Keefe by now knows what he has with Sammy, and knows what he has with Murray. Arguably he even knows what he has with Woll, as far as you can know how good your 3rd string goalie is. He should have done the responsible thing and had Sammy go down with an "injury" so that EBUG CURTIS JOSEPH COULD HAVE PLAYED!!!!!!!! How SICK WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN!

  12. I don’t like this “ game doesn’t matter “ attitude. Look at Boston. 25 points ahead of Toronto. Their games definitely don’t matter, yet they keep on winning.

  13. Leaf fan blaming a loss on the Ref what a surprise. This Bunting deal is now the excuse leaf fans can and will probably use when Tampa beat them in the first round.

  14. That’s the problem with the leafs
    One man team
    34 ridin Mitchy’s coat tails
    No pk no pp
Where have I heard that before

  15. Nhl needs to scrap all the reffs and get a whole bunch of reffs. There getting worse each year enough is enough

  16. I was going to comment that sammy and murray looking like Jack Campbell but then I realized that Campbell got a shutout on Saturday. Oh well… Maybe next year!!! BOOK IT!!!

  17. this makes me sick to say cause he's a leafs fan but Steve your an honest smart leafs fan keep up the good work

  18. I haven't been following the season super close but what happened to Kallgren? I thought he was a pretty useful backup goalie? Why is he not in any conversations these days, it's just all about Woll (not taking anything away from him)?

  19. Obsessing over an embellishment penalty in a game where you lost to a Red Wing team that is half AHLers is a very Leafs fan move

  20. All I hear is “waaah waaah”instead of the actual logical response of “bunting is a dirty player and has deserved every penalty he received” refs are bad against every team

  21. Bunting made his bed and can enjoy sleeping in it. At some point, leafs nation has to stop using back to back, days of the week etc as excuses. And Marner being out should not make this big a difference. A contending team should have so much more depth. Not a Leafs fan but it would be nice to see them have some success. But when you guys have no accountability for bad games, blame one missing player for a loss, and cry about officials all in one game it makes it very hard to hope for leaf success

  22. I get it, you're a Leafs fan and you'll always see things biased from that point of view, but I watched that bunting crosscheck again and again, and the first one was a shove and he went down really easy, then on the second light shove he flopped, clearly trying to draw a call. Had he just tried to get up, he wouldn't have gotten the embellishment call and there may or may not have been a crosscheck, he just removed all doubt.

  23. Bunting pisses everyone off, including his coach, nothing new here. Murray isn't a goalie you can depend on so getting Woll in some games would be a good idea. Also, this isn't the first time I've got the impression that Sammy doesn't want to be the sole starter. He seems happy being in a 1A/1B environment, he doesn't come across as someone that wants the net to be just his. Last point, home ice means nothing to this team (see 3 playoff series they've been in vs Columbus, Montreal and Tampa). Rest whomever needs it..don't chase home ice.

  24. First time watching a video where I liked Steve a bit less after. I know he's not all sunshine and rainbows (especially with who he cheers for) but dude…

  25. What happens when you put Stephen Walkom in charge of officials. Guy was a plug as an official.

  26. So this is the precursor going into the playoffs in preparations for explaining how the Leafs got hosed leading to them getting eliminated against the Lightning? They are just victims of the officiating, the officials are out to get them? I guess it's good to have the excuse ready for when you need it.

  27. Vasi turns into a brick wall in playoffs, he's a huge reason why they won the cups, Tampa is still a tough out to say the least.

  28. "…really ties the room together."
With that reference, your already high stock value in my mind just jumped a bunch of points!😉

  29. I hate this the game doesn’t matter bull, you guys have said this likely 12 to 15 bloody times this season, and guess what it very well could cost them 2nd place. Will they beat Columbus, not sure about that. 😀Boston rests their players and they still win, the Leafs have lost so many games this year against Arizona, San Jose, etc etc. The Leafs are not a hockey team they are a soap opera 😮😅. 3rd place and Toronto has no chance at all against TB.
