Saskatchewan born hockey players are simply built different. We have to live up to the standards of Mr. Hockey. Hard, short shifts. Eyes to chest when taking the body. Protect teammates and kill for you goalie. Strong locker room presence. HEAVY HITS and Absolute pain in the ass to deal with. Simplify the game and let the boys from the O and Q do the fancy work.
Schenn brothers, Colby Armstrong, Kris Kunitz, Tanner Jeannot, Josh Archibald, Matt Dumba, Ryan Murray, Bryaden Mcnabb, Jordan Eberle, Chandler Stephenson, Theo Fleury, Getzlaf, Marleau, Wendel Clark. Lets not forget our cup winning goalies in Keumper and Holtby.
Maybe I have a little too much pride in my boys but who the heck else is going to give Sask the spotlight but people from Sask โ
Real Sabres fans like me and the @roam hockey community have NOT given up on this franchise, and we won't. It would be great to see Anderson in for Ottawa (I live in Ottawa) and even if we don't make the playoffs we understand our weaknesses and how to overcome them for next season. I personally feel very confident with Anderson in net, even more than UPL and Comrie if I'm being honest. Absolutely loved Levi's first performance and attitude, was happy to see Buff throw him into the fire and show confidence in his skill. We only want players who actually want to be in Buffalo and understand that the franchise's success is literally in their hands and who will take accountability for that. There are a handful of players I could name who have played for us recently who have not had that same attitude which is part of our 11 year dry streak. I'm not expecting us to make it this year, but man am I ever enjoying watching them give other teams a run for their money, and who knows!?
