Time to consider sliding into a coaching career.
Everyone seems to like him, and he’s a pretty skilled speaker.
Ah damn it. I’ve been worried for some time that he wouldn’t be playing at 30.
Monny 😞 . Absolute warrior and a class act all the way.
But yeah, what is that, at least two groin surgeries, two hip surgeries, one (two?) wrist surgeries, and a broken foot, all in like 5 years? Im sure im missing more.
Heartbreaking as it is, i hope the guy can retire and move into a different off ice role. Perhaps retire as a flame (one day contract)? One can dream!
🙁
I had my mony shirt on last night. Certain that it powered the great Stone to smash one home for the W
The C of Red still loves you Monahan!!
God damn I was hoping we would sign him in the offseason
Time to transition into another part of the game before he ends up 40 and not able to walk (assuming it’s not already too late).
Poor guy.
I hope he finds his stride in a coaching or management career. He’s smart, hard working and a great leader.
Sorry to hear that… damn guy has been uber-unlucky with injuries his whole career.
This fucking sucks. I can’t believe how quickly his career declined because of these goddamn injuries. I feel so bad for him especially because he gave it all for us. I hope we can bring him back as a part of the coaching staff.
Feel so bad for the guy, he powered through so much shit while he was here!
Habs fan here, I would love him to get a job in management here. He’s a really great guy and since his contract is up, it’s a real possibility.
Dude really needs to stop sabotaging his own playing career by playing through injuries. Him playing with a broken foot is what led to this groin issue. And it was similar stories while in Calgary.
That and NHL medical teams/management have to take more responsibility in shutting down players when they’re injured.
He’s made more than enough money in his career to retire now. It’s not worth going through more major surgery.
