Feel so bad for him. Just a terrible situation. I hope it doesn’t end his career if he wants to keep playing. It’s definitely going to take a toll on our PK too. He and Dewar were great as the second pairing

he’s a warrior, I hope he fights and makes it back again

A 4th liner who played/will always play with the effort of a top line guy. I think we’d all love him to make a 5th comeback. But, if our guys can play with even half the heart this young man does, look the f*** out

Just devastating. I feel awful for him. I hope he can come back from this and continue his career.

Fuck dude. I’m currently at 5 months post op on my first ACL tear and it’s been hell. I cant imagine going thru it multiple times much less 4 times

This is not fair! If anyone can overcome this it is Shawzy! They should all wear a patch with MS on it for motivation in the playoffs!! Win one for the Shawzy!! Say it with me, WIN ONE FOR SHAWZY

  7. He became my kids favorite player this year. His story is just incredible & is one of the best stories to discuss with kids about- don’t give up!!!

It is absolutely astonishing what Shaw has done. And I hope continues to do.

If he ever wins a cup I hope there’s a feel good movie about him someday. Because my god this dude encapsulates everything about the spirit of sportsmanship.

I hope he is OK & continues to find his way.

    Just…man.

4th ACL tear for Shaw. But with it being his fourth he knows what it will take to get back. Shaw is that dude. He will be back in the NHL without a doubt.

Damn, he’s a favorite of mine on the team. Hope he’s able to make a full recovery and continue on. I’m rooting for him.

  10. This is sad especially given how him and Dewar were effective on pk. Hope he is able to come back stronger next year.

Fuck I’ll be cheering for him to come back but another ACL tear is brutal. Sucks to lose a key penalty killer at this point who played hard night in and night out.

This sucks, but also why all the “who sits when Nyquist and Kaprizov start playing” talk was premature.

how many more ACL tears can I knee go through before it’s completely done? god shawzy kids a warrior

  14. windexluma69

How can u just keep tearing the same one and expect to keep said leg?

Man, is it worth it to come back from *four* ACL tears from a quality of life standpoint? Wonder if you have to listen your body at that point. Gutted for the kid.
