  1. This kid is a stud and will be on Habs lineup next season. He will win a spot at camp. Book it! Trudeau has been a stud too. Were loaded

  2. Dude, I feel we really have many of the necessary pieces in the organisation already. And the injuries this years had the benefit of giving a chance to quite a few players that I believe will become part of the core.
Cup winners have a bit of everything, and it's proven time and time again that a good balanced team playing well together is worth more than any star players. Although sure, more star power wouldn't hurt either, but I think we can manage either way!

In exactly one year I think we'll have a decent idea of who will fit what position during our playoff window. It's going to be great 😀

  3. I definitely remember Heineman at camp. Too bad he got injured BUT maybe for once, the injury gods were doing some good. Heineman got to go back and play in Sweden and work on his game. It's hard to say it didn't help him because look how great he looks now that he's back in NA. As you mentioned, he's not just getting points. He's getting points at the right places. He's just playing well overall and it's translating into goals.

If I'm Kent or Jeff, I'm going to sit down this summer and try and envision building a team with him on it and try to make sure there's a spot for him next season. It's a nice surprise. I've read positive things from him all season but until he plays in NA, it's hard to see how his skills will translate on American ice surfaces. But from what we've seen these last 2 weeks, the guy seems ready to play in the NHL.

I'm not saying that I expect injuries next season but I expect injuries next season. So it's good to have young talented players ready to make the leap right into the lineup. Heineman is only 21 and he's still going to improve. It's going to be a long summer. I'm already salivating at the team the Habs might start with next season.

  4. He looked so good in Camp, he was hurt toward the end of camp and it took him awhile to get going over seas, he played well down the stretch over there though! Great to see his game translate to the North American ice so well! Camp next year is going to be a battle for roster spots all over the place!

  5. Hehe.. for me.. Heineman a mesh between Gally and Lek and Pezz. Ever since the Toffoli trade.. his name scratched an itch. This guy can be an aggressive fore checker and can hit and can score in front of the net. Gonna be interesting how the AHL reacts to him now they know he is a dangerous with the puck. Having Struble and Heineman and a renewed Cayden really gives Laval a chance to make the playoffs.(knock on wood)
Trudeau looks like an all around dman.. very interested in how he develops in Laval (even he is in rumor mill)
One thing the habs are struggling with.. is the injuries.. Savard is down and that is one less dman again..

  6. Great video junkie totally agree this kid caught my eye in training camps plus I got a good run down on him before . This kids going to be a good one ,he ll make the team next season .
