1:35 I love how Kaprizov goes "Okay, now I'll score," and then he casually snipes it lol. Also, Gus has been outstanding. Everyone's been focusing on the future with Wallstedt and, meanwhile, another young Swedish goalie (who was presumed to be a backup) comes in and dominates. Minnesota's got a bright future in net.
I think a lot of his production is due to Fluery’s mentorship
Hop aboard the Gus Bus. Post game interview after the 3-0 shutout against Calgary, his response was he could have done better controlling loose pucks and rebounds. The guy holds himself to the highest standards and literally has insane composure in the net. Very different tender style from Marc Andre who throws his body around much more. Gus is the real deal.
All I know is it was going to be a long season = Then Gus comes here and now we're battling for 1st place in the DIVISION = And team over all Play is looking pretty Tite = Goalscorers are an issue with this lineup = Well except ONE = SO the Defense & Net minders need to Play with Hi standards = This was not a Yr for Any Great hope by most hockey sources = That being said we made some moves = Added some Talent at the Trade Deadline = WITHOUT damaging our Future = One more YR of old contracts to deal with = A way decent farm of Young Talent to be shure = Goaltenders are a bright light for the wild organization = Thank BILL GARIN & HIS BOSSES = 2 YRS AND THE GLOVES REALLY COME OFF FOR WHAT THIS TEAM WILL DO !!!

As a wild fan, my hope is that they will find a way to sign Gus on a team friendly deal and then wallstedt and come up and play well too

I guess it's fair to say we've always not had the easiest time with goaltending here in Minnesota, but think back about when we brought in Darcy Kuemper, who stood tall in net. A couple years later we get Devin Dubnyk, he starts to ride the DUUUUUBS wave, and a couple years after comes Cam Talbot, who ALSO upped his game from Montreal. I think there's something special going on in that goalie coaching staff in Minnesota

Just imagine Filip Gustavsson and Jesper Wallstedt in net! Oh boy, that may be nearly unbeatable. Who knows. Either way, thank you so much for giving Gustavsson the recognition he deserves! As a Wild fan who's watched him play, he's nearly almost as good as Bruins goalie Linus Ullmark, the current Vezina trophy frontrunner. Filip Gustavsson is as advertised, at least for now that is. I really just cannot wait for a Gustavsson/Wallstedt goaltender duo. Fleury is good too, but he's only gonna play probably another year or so then he'll more than likely retire. Gustavsson and Wallstedt are the future! LET'S GO WILD!!!

He was a solid goalie in Swedish Hockey League too. Gustavsson and Wallstedt got drafted from the same team in SHL Luleå Hockey! Both goalies are great.

I have been saying this all year Gustavsson should have started over flower much sooner than he did
I knew he was good from seeing him play, but I didn't look into his stats until now and they are insane! Especially when compared to his performance last season. I love when players have random breakout years, and hopefully this is something he can keep up.
