    Youll notice he has extremely high “botched retrievals per 60”

    Thats in addition to a ton of shot assists and contributions, as well as being very efficient in zone exits.

    Sevo is a very talented player who usually moves the puck in the right directions and produces good to elite results when he is playing against the other teams bottom 6. That being said he is a high risk/reward type and for every beautiful stretch pass or smart zone exit, there is a ghastly turnover on the other end. He doesnt deserve to be the team whipping boy and has been a good soldier thru some real shit years. We will be fine when he leaves but i am more than tired of people acting like Sevo isnt an NHL player. He is.

    While I will miss some of that smooth passing to spring breakaways, I can’t say I’ll miss the botched zone exits and some glaring plunders. He’s earned his next contract, wish him success and hopefully the devils can leave him with a nice parting gift (aka a deep run into the playoffs) to reward him for sticking with the team during some dark times. I don’t see him resigning here with the current D pipeline.
