In a game between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens.. Brad Marchand jumped Rem Pitlick after a late hit on captain Patrice Bergeron. We break down the importance of stepping up for your teammates in hockey.. and why the Boston Bruins have had so much success because of it.

  1. That’s not just how hockey should be that’s how live should be if someone picks on you buddy you should have there back that’s why Boston is so good right now

  2. It wasn't a late hit. PB lost control of the puck a half stride before the was hit was made. If it was late he would have gotten a penalty.

  3. Would’ve preferred he squared up with the guy rather than sneak in the first punch, but not bad.

  4. This is exactly what i want to see when someone touched Patrice like that, id prefer it was Trenty sending the message so it was more forceful but aslong as someone does it… i almost ran into my tv to make sure it happened 😀

  5. It’s Bru-Win not Broon, great video tho
At any rate, I would probably fight my own teammate if he hit Bergy like that. Loved seeing Marchy jump in right away

  6. Boston just can't handle good checks. They are notorious for being whiners.

  7. Why wasn't Pisslick sent to the penalty box for the late hit-up into the face of Bergeron. Disgusting officiating.

  8. As a Bruins fan, love all the boys and especially Marchand. He plays the game with soo much heart and passion. And him doing this was absolutely the right decision.

  9. Marchand is the only hockey player who's thrown more punches on the ice than while on her feet.

  10. I would agree but Marchand didn’t even let Pitlick drop his gloves, it’s a douche move to fight without giving Pitlick a chance. You can send a message by fighting him in a legal way.

  11. This is the first time I've seen a player praised for tackling an opposing player and punching him while on the ground. Bullshit, cowardly antics by a professional asshole.

  12. This is what the Leafs don't have, and it pains me because I know that my team doesn't come close to one of our 2 greatest rivals. This year's Bruins are one of the best ever, and if we meet them in the playoffs, I'll give us a 5-10% chance. I may be being generous.

  13. I agree this was a terrible late hit, however Marchand shouldn't be celebrated for this as he has always been a cheap hitter as well. He's retaliating for what is essentially a reflection of his own poor sportsmanship.

  14. This is what is so great about hockey. Imagine mahomes throwing some bombs because his running back got hit late lol

  15. Sticking up for your team mate is how you build trust and TEAM SPIRIT. WITHOUT IT YOUR TEAM GOES NO WHERE.

  16. Alright, 1) Marchand hasn't been "that guy" in years, and 2) you don't hit ANYBODY that late. EVER!
