The Toronto Maple Leafs announced on Thursday that the team has signed forward Rodion Amirov to a three-year entry level contract for the 2021-22 season. His season with Ufa is now complete, thus Amirov will be joining the Toronto Marlies and Maple Leafs development program after visa and quarantine requirements are met.
He’s not likely to play with the Maple Leafs for a couple of seasons, but he should be an interesting player to watch as he develops.
