  1. you guys are talking about the optic while feeding a false narrative. You trade half of your defense for one player and turned around and complain about it when you lose

  2. Blaming kyrie for this is crazy they was bad all year and they were in fourth but lose 2 games and u the 11th seed it’s been like that in the west all szn like I can’t wait till he leave and kill next year 2 shut these all niggas up

  3. Trading for KP instead of garnering draft picks in Luka's early years, giving away draft picks, letting Brunson go, trading for Kyrie, and just bad bad drafting in the years prior to getting Luka… that's what killed the Mavs. Next.

  4. Kyrie is not the only problem within the Mavs. Mavs made a bad decision last year with Brunson, but to be fair nobody was expecting Brunson to elevate his game that much with the NYK. Then, couple it with an average coach or a coach who is not willing to coach his star and you have a below average team. Mavs invested in Christian Wood who is not a player to rely on. He can't defend and won't play for the team, just for getting his numbers. Finally, the trade itself wasn't good. You traded reliable 2-way role players to get a brilliant one-to-one player who can't or won't defend.
In a guard-heavy era, you cannot have two bad on-ball defenders at the same time in your team, especially when they play between 35-40 minutes per game. What's even worse is that the Mavs don't even have three other above average defenders for SF, PF and C to cover some of the issues they have with Luka and Kyrie.

  5. As a die hard Mavs fan, you guys are pretty much right. Kyrie has played great and been a good teammate since being in Dallas. These issues put a spotlight on the lack of leadership on the team. So that either goes to the coach or it's best player. The effort defensively has been pathetic. IMO, Kidd has completely lost the ear of the team and Luka hasn't proved to be the type to lead at this point.

  6. Kyrie would be great if this was 1 on 1. But it’s not. He’s awful unless being carried by all time greats such as KD or LeBron

  7. Plain and simple Kyrie is a team killer regardless of his individual talent and that's what the sports media just can't accept. Its ALL about wins and loses and Chips…..period. Everything else is simply for clicks and views which the media needs…..

  8. Media luvs to get at Kyrie because of anti vax. Thats what its all about. Kyrie is balling. The team aint playing D.

  9. I know we all have a tendency to blame Kyrie, but I don’t think he is to blame here. The problem is the Mavs traded away all their supporting cast. They gave too much to acquire Kyrie. Kyrie and Luka are known for the offensive mastery and not defensive masterminds. This is strictly on the Mavs GM.

  10. Kyrie does not impact winning like other superstars mainly in the defense side of the court.

  11. Kyrie has played great. They traded away all their defense. It’s so simple to just look at Kyrie. Mavs play no defense and have horrible coaching and a bad roster. Luka wines and not a good teammate or leader.

  12. How many stars has Luka played with now? Who they gonna blame next? He can’t play with other stars.

  13. Jason Kidd has been horrendous. And make in game adjustments and horrible rotations.

  14. Steph and Kyrie at least give effort on defense. Luka doesn’t even try and wines all game long.

  15. While I agree with their takes on Luka’s defense, Lebron bad defensive teams was always blamed on everyone else and not Lebron. The said because he was scoring 30 pts, what more do they want from him.

  16. YEAH HOW LONG HE GONNA LIVE OFF THAT 1 SHOT IN 2016…

WHAT HAS HE DONE OF ANY SIGNIFICANCE SINCE THEN

  17. Why you guys keep riding for Kyrie is beyond my understanding. He is a team killer. Yes he hit a big shot on a team with Lebron in charge. He has done squat since then except say stupid stuff and destroy teams. Dallas is the latest.

  18. HE'S NOT AVERAGING THAT
HE DON'T SCORE WHEN THEY NEED HIM TO. HE JUST WENT 4 STRAIGHT UNDER 20

  19. Kyrie used KD as a bargaining chip that's just sad I hope kyrie meets KD in the playoffs in the near future and KD crushes him like a mosquito

  20. THAT LUKA NO DEFENSE AHOT SONT RIDE BECAUSE HE WASNT PLAYIN DEFENSE LAST SEASON AND THEY WENT TO WCF…

  21. its simple

mark cuban now needs to build a team AROUND luka and kyrie; its not kyrie or lukas fault they didnt win the championship this yr

  22. Luka just needs a good starting center .
Give him embiid , Gianni’s , AD, sabonis, joker , Dirk in his prime lol
Anyone besides DAmn Dwight Powell …..
And Im sure that would fit a lot better than having two ball dominant guards

  23. OK if you boneheads want to say Cleveland/ Boston. But brooklyn disrespected that man For posting a video LOL Seriously /suspended him Lol I would have got so far away from those boneheads.

  24. It's really dumb when you think about the fact that they let Jalen Brunson walk out the door for nothing 😆😆 as a Knicks fan, thanks 🙏🏾 but boy that was stupid, at least he could mesh with Luka and isn't focused on being THE guy

  25. Kyrie Irving is over rated. He couldn't hold Walt Frazier's jock strap. I expected Kyrie to wreck Dallas. This is not surprising one bit.

  26. Kyrie is overrated 🤣🤣 when was his last big moment ??! When was the last time Kyrie had a crazy stretch of big numbers and games ? … he’s Stephon marbury with a better jumpshot and a prettier game

  27. The thing is Kyrie Irving is a great offensive player but he’s an older player now and older players tend to lack the same defensive prowess of younger players. The mistake is by the teams that constantly gives up too much when trading for him. If teams would be patient to sign him as a free agent where they don’t need to gut the defensive / role players then he can fit his proper scoring role and the supporting cast do their defensive part. 5:48

  28. He had to see if he could be the man. After he saw he couldn’t he should have went back

  29. this is not working cause they play the same position/style. Luka was not a good leader but to his defense look at the roster, those are g-league players. HC sucks. Mr MC sucks cause he calls the shots and he failed. run Luka run!

  30. Really weird how there’s a difference between the national and local narrative of what’s happening with the Mavs rn.
