  1. Deff have had some real late nights watching hockey here on the East coast lol. I remember the double-triple overtimes in the playoffs. Games going until 2-2:30 am lol

  2. Why the is the NHL heading to Australia. It's essentially non existant in this country expect for the very vary very small minority who play. It's not like we can watch it regularly without a VPN and forking out a fortune. The NHL has no place in Australia. Just stick to Europe and North America. It's not a sport for anywhere else in the world. The NHL doesn't need or want us

  3. Something that hasn't been said, in regards to regular season….I think the B's reach 60 before all the other 3 teams. 60 wins in 77 games. And could reach 63 by 80.

  4. Power rankings are the first thing i watch on Sundays. Couple of video ideas i think would be interesting……
1… the best team to not win a stanley cup
2… which team in the Bedard bowl would give him the best chance at success, considering the team's past successes, player development, etc etc etc.

  5. BCHL also has amazing jerseys for almost every team. Salmon Arm, Chilliwack, Victoria, Powell River, and Vernon are some of my favourites.

  6. Your timing is perfect for this Bruin's Nation 49er

I think I'm an hour behind you Alaska time

I get your power rankings right away-
It's something to do Saturday night's with the dawg! Lol!
    Thanks!

Back in the day we'd be watching channel 38 wsbk TV 7 pm in Bean town

Now we're watching games with coffee in the morning and lunch time. But it makes the day go by faster!

(Bob Wilson), Jack Edwards, Judd Sirot – all true bruins fans.

Even working on the chain Saw, I always know when we score!

sometimes we need a little balance and less emotion!
    Especially this season.

I still don't understand how millions of hockey fans we're so disrespectful to think that David pastrnak would actually waste the prime of his career on some fun cup reunions for his buddies?

And those seasoned awarded veterans, would be stupid enough to make arses of themselves in their golden years, trying to chase a 2011 cup?

    It was always about 2019.

Intellectually, it was a smart move using good hockey vision by these players-including the GM who was once and still a hockey player

knowing nothing has changed in the league since 2019, except for their coach and goalies

Is this team knew they had enough to get that cup, they needed the accessories around them and solid goalie

We kept Tuuka around too long, he almost became the Larry Bird of the Bruins.

And an AHL coach walking into the NHL, telling seasoned veteran awarded cup-winning players "do your job follow the system?"

Boston Bruins fair-weather fans drive me nuts.

Everybody's thrown a football around, baseball- bounced a basketball, even kicked a soccer ball

    But these modern hockey fans?

Nobody at least played street hockey anymore, skate? not mind know how to lace up skates

    Not even "broomball?"

So it's great to have your balanced perspective and opinions based on evidence, you know the one-lucky-bounce emotion of this game.

And what it takes for a team to stay ahead of that "one lucky bounce"

    Go B'sđŸ»

  7. Excellent news about the BCHL. Huge upgrade for BC junior hockey in terms of player opportunities and teams/fans. Hopefully this comes to fruition.

  8. Not related to this but would love to hear TEG's thoughts on everything with WWE between Mania this weekend and the sale to Endeavor because I know he's a big wrestling fan

  9. Thing is 10 of Boston wins have been in OT or SO so if you go back to the rule before OT, they would have a record of 50-12-15 It doesn't take anything away from their achievement but shows us how good some of the teams really were in the pre OT era.

  10. Maybe Bunting would get fewer embellishment calls if he stopped embellishing. If he wants to be a pest, he should look at players like, I don't know, Marchand, as much as I dislike him.

  11. Hey Hockey Guy, I'm a US Canes fan who would really appreciate learning about how all the leagues are tied together, how youth hockey and college hockey works in North America, and what exactly was David Ayres's hockey experience… John Forslund mentioned two or three levels of hockey I didn't know about. Certainly an offseason topic, I await your hours-long YouTube masterpiece! 🙂

  12. Would love to see the absolutely ridiculous penticton vees face off against a real team

  13. When I was still in school the Vernon Lakers won three National Championships in a row. Was great hockey . Several players went on to good NHL careers. Brett Hull played for Penticton as did Paul Kariya. Saw a game of Lakers vs Penticton where someone threw a coyote head on the ice and a huge brawl broke out in the stands. Behind the players benches. Oh man there have been great players over the years and would hope most fans would partake in these Jr Games.

  14. BCHL has been doing it for years they must have money get players from prairies or bound for college to good for their junior A league MJHL/SIJHL/SJHL/Quebec/NOJHL ect and alot of commitments similar to USHL the fact they said some AJHL teams could join is unique will leagues get smaller join another league who knows.
Some Tier 2 leagues you have to pay to play,so if all covered another plus. Like NAHL so if far from home have to pay billet, food, ect can be costly unless teams covered. Can range frok free on league or operate like CHL small amount of money just wont tell NCAA,to you have to pay 10k-15k at that point probably time to just get regualr job or use that money college.Usually in past kids who play junior A and go on are late bloomers don't have 6ft plus or man's body/skills so take longer maybe finish college 23-26 range, but US dollar and costs if your not rich staying in CIS-UofM,Sask,BC can be way to go if your able or ACAC. Cause close to home usually CIS you'll have overages from CHL so still competitive.
Sometimes you can see Usports roster a kid who played Ncaa div1/3 and cause maybe injury, not productive enough/scholarship used on another younger player, cost, come back Canada.

Logan Thompson,Derek Ryan,Sawchenko, in past Joel Ward,Shelley,Rucchin ect most just finish play couple years Europe and get regular jobs.

  15. Yes, the officials don't like when people whine about calls not being made. Just look at when Mike Babcock (a known whiner) was coaching Toronto – it was very rare when the Leafs would ever get the benefit of the doubt on what would be a borderline call compared to a lot of other teams.

Yes, I get Michael Bunting has a reputation among officials, but last night was ridiculous – he was crosschecked THREE times and he was the one who got a penalty for embellishment?

Furthermore , someone answer me this: How is it possible that Victor Hedman slewfoots Jakob Chychrun (injuring him in the process) and doesn't get a penalty OR a fine? On top of that, Nikita Kucherov is well-known for diving, etc. and how many calls are made against him?

Let's face it: anyone who says the officials don't have a bias towards certain players is full of shit.

  16. Referees are only reacting to Bunting now, too many complaints I guess. And the BCHL thing is a double-edged sword as "bad" coaches will find a way to make this work for them. And what of AJHL teams, will they join the BCHL, et al??

  17. I think the BCHL doing this is great for the kids’ development in that more skilled players would be playing in college instead of going straight to pro hockey when they hit 20 which I believe would help them develop at their own pace especially for some of the smaller players who just need more time to grow

  18. We watched Bunting go through the exact same thing for a season in the AHL. We recognized Bunting as an agitator who toed the line a lot, and brought a lot of things on himself.

HOWEVER. The liberties that were being allowed against him that season (18-19 as I recall) were so bad that I left the arena in a rage many nights just from a player safety standpoint. It snowballed through the year once the other teams got wise to it, it was like blood in the water. That’s when it gets dangerous. I was afraid it could end his career on any given night, it was that bad.

I don’t know what finally ended it, it wasn’t as bad the next season and then he went up for good shortly thereafter. But that season. Hoo boy.

I hope they figure out a way to resolve it for the sake of the player’s health.

  19. I wonder if the GOJHL may follow the same direction as the BCHL given that they’ve been fighting for Junior A status with both Hockey Canada and the Ontario Hockey Federation for several years now. It would keep kids from the Greater Toronto Area closer to home and increase scouting in the league. The GOJHL is really good, it’s filled with GTHL AAA players that frequently move up to the OHL.
