[check the record, i’ve always said the Wings would go 40-33-9](https://www.reddit.com/r/DetroitRedWings/comments/12a5ixw/post_game_thread_detroit_red_wings_at_toronto/jeqgcs2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1&context=3)
Detroit did what you should do to a bad Montreal team. Awesome to see jv and DP score In Montreal. Husso looked great and a snipe for rayzor. Fun watch.
Edvinsson looks so confident already! Gonna be rough for the other teams out there with him and Seider on D
If actively tanking means looking like Montreal did tonight, I don’t want any part of it. Would hate to see the young guys make a habit of playing like that.

Good win. Boring game but good win. On to the next🚨
Is there a way we can play Montreal 82 times?
Pretty sure we’d make the playoffs.
Five goals and a shutout. Now I know how Boston feels!
#LGRW!
HU-and it’s good to have you back-SSO
Wheely good win 🙂
I always like watching these hand shake lines with retiring refs. It’s cool to see the older players spend a little longer with their sendoff.
I never knew Lalonde was like four feet tall until I watched the post game handshake line.
Damn, we’re missing a bunch of pieces and there’s still that big a gap between us and them. Brutal for Canadiens fans. Wings barely had to try to win that game.
10/10 would Red Wings Hockey again.
I wonder if Husso was nursing an injury for a while. It would explain his drop in play. I mean the pity party after the deadline didn’t help but Husso wasn’t stellar either

Huuuuuuuuuus!
I know we are just stalling elimination but I’m excited for each win we get.
Love this win. I know we are out of playoff contention, but the math still gives us like a 1% chance. What’s the absolutely bonkers math for that to happen? Win out and Pengs lose every match or something?
Always good to win. But, tanking is for losers. Even if we were in the Bedard Olympics, I’d feel sick to even attempt to play like how Montreal did tonight
Handily beat up on a team we should beat this season. Top like got some points, Raymond got the monkey off his back, and Matt Luff got some revenge.
I know it’s “bad” for our draft position to win games, but these guys are competitors through and through. Winning a game like this shows poise, maturity, and competitive spirit.

We still have a chance to make the playoffs.
5 goals and Larkin never got a point. Clearly he isn’t 1C material /s
STILL undefeated in the Kasper era
We’re doing a terrible job of tanking
Villain Husso
I’m not mad we won but it’s disappointing that it was driven by the grizzled vets
That Perron guy is pretty good.
5-0 win and our subreddit crybaby was still finding shit to bitch about in the GDT.
I personally couldn’t be happier with the last stretch of games. The dudes are starting to rebuild chemistry between themselves and it seems like that rest was what Ville needed to look like start of the season Ville.
I’ve never been a member of team tank, but it just sucks to see other teams go out there and do *whatever that was* every night and then get rewarded for it at the end of the season. I’m glad our boys are still battling and growing confidence, we’re building the culture back in our locker room and that’s worth more than any kind of position in the draft.
I love watching Seider. Just love it.
His skating is borderline ugly, but he’s *sooooooooooooooooooooooo* good on his edges, has great foot speed, and is so stable on his skates.
Great win, tuck the fank!
Canadiens have what? 11 guys on IR? I almost feel bad dumpstering a team so plagued with injuries…
Not that bad tho
LGRW
I thought we were tanking… I guess it is hard to tank in this league when others are more aggressively tanking
Good news. We won a hockey game. Bad news we played ourselves out of a lottery spot.
