Playing against him in youth AAA was terrifying, working in the front office while he was on the Blackhawks at the same time was amazing. One of the greatest personalities in the NHL. Buff never cared about the limelight or the money, I think at this point he just wants to be left alone to fish and hunt….seriously…..that's just how he is. But he will always be a legend in my eyes.
Jets fans miss him and rightfully so. But many tears were shed in Chicago after he left that SC winning team in '10. All because of an idiotic blunder by the GM.
Stanley Cup Playoffs never filled out stands in Winnipeg the way Dustin Byfuglien did. I choose to never win a cup but still have Big Buff in our lineup.
I don't even know the guy and I feel personally hurt how he just all of a sudden didn't want to play anymore, maybe that's just me, but I don't think so

Stupid Stan Bowman traded him away for nothing to the then Thrashers, but then again he did trade Panarin too away. Plain dumb and dumber!
