    As a Bruins fan Marchy could absolutely be classified as a rat. However he’s an incredibly skilled player, does a ton on and off the ice that makes you respect him and let’s not forget he’ll always have his teammates back no matter what. Early in his career he was a dirty player that just made you question why? Over the years his rattiness has drastically decreased but most people still think of early Marchy. He’s a player you absolutely want on your team but despise if he’s not.

    Thetes no camparison. Tom Wilson did shit that was straight up dangerous, and he legitimately tried to injure people. I'm pretty sure he even ended someone's career on purpose with a dirty play. The other two were very much agitators, but not doing things that could ruin a person's life.

    there are so many other players that are way rattier than Marchand and are half as skilled. Binnington, Goudas, Tristan Jarry, bunting, Wilson, Trouba, and like half of the canes team are all mega rats.

    Marchand plays like an old-time hockey player, dirty and entertaining, but he brings a skill set that any team would love to have inserted into their line. Wilson is a classic goon, and Binnington is a weird one, he seems to always be doing stupid shit for no reason and it's not entertaining, it's not p upping the team up… it's shear cowardly and sad. You allowed what, 5 goals? Then decide to try and pimp up the team after you got bumped for being 3 ft out of your crease? Lol

    cuz hockey's about putting it all on the ice and then being a community after. Everybody bleeds red. These guys that dish it out, are ready to be targets-and they are. Obviously, they're paid well and teams want them.

    But the NHL foundation is actually pulling in $30+ mil each year off of this "hate" -the player safety money ends up in discretionary NHL foundation funds.

    Ratt's clips look like old highlights. They've done a lot to whitewash his career the last couple years. And aside from the Cane's playoffs, he's been behaving.

    We need to actually read the player safety reports-because Brad marchand, and others, stopped most of the intentional pattern nonsense around 2015 – 2016, beside the kissing 😘

    Some players are untouchables.

    I can use marchand has an example cuz I been watching the boy for a decade or more

    The suspension from November 2021, slewfoot reads "an appearance of slew foot based on his reputation going back to a slew foot infraction in 2015"

    And at the time of the penalty, it was called a "trip"

    Yet, after that game- a reporter asked Brad marchand about playing in Canada, for Canadian teams- the fans are a bit zealous

    Brad marchand described them as "very passionate"- explained that players don't want to play there, because sometimes "they go after their kids in school"
    The next morning, the 2 minute tripping, turned into a slew foot suspension and fine

    In February? 2022, Brad marchand spoke out on Twitter a lot about NHL not allowing players to the Olympics

    Again, he was suspended & fined based on a reputation infraction from years prior.

    I don't think marchand jersey sales were too good cuz he was causing problems that led to losses.

    So not every Bruins fan was behind him. He got the message. Made it through puberty on ice.

    Look up George Parros' reputation as an enforcer. He ended his career by concussing himself, lost balance, fell down in an almost fight.

    This is the guy creating this "hatred" – a guy's who's known for being the first one to drop the gloves, and penalty minutes being the most notable under his hockey career record.
