Blowing the regulation win might matter in the end,but you largely dont care. Got the 2 points to clinch the playoffs,& move into 1st. Of course Mckinnon getting 100 was sweet,& Micos only 6pts short of 100. But a playoff spot,& FINALLY moving into 1st (mightve been Opening night last time they were?) is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than indivigual stats. They are gonna have well over 100pts-whereever they finish in the central,& whatever happens in the playoffs-theyve made a legit defense of their title,considering the injuries,& off season losses theyve suffered.
I was aggravated with that first PP. MacKinnon was being overly selfless and wasn't taking shots he should and probably positioned himself for a pass to Miko instead of putting himself in better shooting lanes. Player milestones seemed to take front seat to winning the game, securing a playoff spot, and leading the central division.
Amateur hour folks are more interested in MacKinnon getting 100. If you are a true fan, making the playoffs is more important.
BTW, does MacDermid have dirty photos of someone in the Avs organization? Is that why he is on this team?
