Hockey Goalie Fight | Robin Lehner vs Riku Helenius



Watch this hockey goalie fight between Robin Lehner and Riku Helenius. It happened in an American Hockey League (AHL) game between the Binghamton Senators and Syracuse Crunch on October 20, 2012.

Lehner received two-minutes for leaving the crease, five-minutes for fighting and a game-misconduct, while Helenius received two-minutes for leaving the crease and five-minutes for fighting in the melee.

Robin Lehner and Riku Helenius are both NHL prospects. Lehner was a second round selection (46th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, while Helenius was a first round choice (15th overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

  1. As soon as Lehner popped up out of the crease you could tell the beast was unleashed. Raging Robin and Beastly Bernier, Ontario has some aggressive goalies back there!

  2. Love robin lehner! NHL needs more of this toughness. But nothing like Mike Vernon and Patrick Roy. Or Chris Osgood and Patrick roy!

  3. Hockey is the greatest sport in the world. Please NHL, do not pussify it anymore than you already have. We need fights in hockey.
