  1. Saw him in the Juniors…knew he was going to be a great goalie. So many teams passed on drafting him…makes you think that scouts don't actually pay that close attention to the World Juniors tournament.

  2. As sad as the Sabres loss made me yesterday, Levi looking so good made that pain way way better.

  3. This kid is only 21 years old…….usually goalies need years to develop properly, yet Levi is here and ready at age 21.

    Amazing

  4. Could be. it's a low bar. Don't ruin him like you ruined Ukko Pekka Luhkonnen. Get a real veteran starter and bring the two youngsters in as back-ups. Ease him into it.

  5. To be fair Sister Josephine from St. Mary’s school for the blind would already be the Sabres best goalie. The guy played his tits off and they only scored 1 goal… against a bartender no less. And for the Ekblad goal to go in like that just made it worse. Levi was far and away the best player on the ice for Buffalo, which is good but bad.

  6. He wasn't even beaten by a direct shot in his first game. The bounce off the glass to his back and in was just bad luck, and the other was a great stick by Kakko to knock it in out of the air.

  7. He will be the next one, move along Brodeur, Roy, Hasek.. this guy will set ALL the goaltending recorda, mark my words.

  8. I'm really digging the kid. That glove hand of his is lightning quick as is his side to side. I love how as soon as he makes a glove save, he quickly jumps up, quickly spins around to the net and takes his drink. You can tell he has strong habits. He's most def an unusual cat with non norm tendencies. Like his meditation technique during TV time outs. I think thats pretty cool. The Force is def strong in him lol I'd be interested to see what a douchebag like Brad Marchand would do to him while he's meditating. I like how he's different though. I really hope he pans out for Buffalo. They haven't had a goalie to really praise about since Miller.

  9. Saying he's the best goalie in the system isn't that weird. They have luukonen, who can't track pucks and puts himself out of position. They have comrie, who is just not good, and Anderson who wants to retire. Levi is a weirdo goalie. Having a weird goalie is a good thing.

  10. Levi is the dominator 2.0. Just watch the highlight saves he made and this is just his first games in the NHL. The home crowd were shouting his name. I have a feeling Panthers may regret trading him and the pick that we used to pick Kulich for Reinhart. Sabres are going to be a force in a couple of years. This year was just three or four more wins from a play-off position.
