The Patriots problem is that they're operating as if Tom Brady is in that locker room, he isn't and I would argue that only Brady could by with the scraps the Patriots bundled together in his finals seasons with them. How can you properly evaluate Mac Jones when your offensive coordinator and QB coach are defensive and special team coaches, your oline is not that good and you have the least inspiring WR core in the entire NFL? The Patriots ran the least dynamic, exciting offense possible last year. I don't know if Mac Jones is the answer but I do think very few young guys could excel and develop playing in such an offense.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Pats traded Mac (and some picks) for Lamar. Belichick signed Cam Newton so it's not like he's against having a mobile QB.
As for the Jets 13th pick, yeah Greeny is right. You don't take a qb in this draft. Though, if they included Rodgers in the decision, it might work. That's where GB screwed up. They blindsided Rodgers when they drafted Love. If they had involved him beforehand he might not have gotten his panties in a bunch.
They're getting Rodgers to get them to a Super Bowl NOW. Use that pick to shore up the team around him.

Just a little side note here. Mac Jones doesn't have an official 40 time but his unofficial times list better than half the QBs in the league. This narrative about him is pretty funny to me. It shows a lack of actual research or care. Just wish they would stop dogging on the man.
