I'm with you 100%.
Is it ideal? Obviously not. Am I worried in any way shape or form? No, not at all. For the reasons you've mentioned and the fact that Morgan, ZAR and Bunting all appear to be trending upwards at the right time.
Also inevitable return of ROR and the potential energy boost from Knies has me feeling as positive as I had with this team in a long time.

Looks like the Leaf GM & Coaching staff acquired players before the Trade Deadline without knowing how they could fit into the Leafs playoff lineup. No wonder the Leafs performance statistics are dropping. That is ok – Leaf fans can be grateful for another Leaf successful regular season. Guess the playoffs might be short & sweet again – who knows?
I don't understand why they don't use Morgan as a forward. He looks so big and strong as a forward.
Liljegren wouldn't be in my game one starting lineup either. He's kind of cracking under the pressure of the team having skill and depth on the back end.
We will go back to 12 and 6 for Matthew Nies the Science Guy. š

They have 9 defenseman and not 1 of them is a top 1D. What a joke.
I mean I could be stretching but keefe could he mixing up stuff so that Tampa is left guessing in terms of footage and what to expect
There is an acclimatization period trying to absorb 5-6 new guys into your structure. I think Keefe has done what he should be doing to facilitate that process. I'm assuming with 6-7 games left he'll likely start playing the group that will start the post-season, but the great thing is he has multiple options. People forget during Keefe's 1st season that was interrupted by the pandemic in March 2020, then re-started with that idiot "play-in" round in the east bubble, that by halfway through the deciding game 5, the Leafs were down to only 4 D due to injuries. Those 4 D were Rielly, Barrie, Ceci & the inimitable Martin Marincin. Freddie, yet again in a clutch "for-all-the-marbles" deciding game let another dog-shit goal in when they were only down 1-0. In his defence they didn't score any goals, so it likely wouldn't have mattered, but you never know. This team is waaaay better & deeper, so I'm bullish on the post-season.
Just a note, NHL people who have experienced success in the post-season have all indicated that having 9 NHL capable D-men is pretty much what you will likely need to get through 4 rounds of the playoffs. The Leafs now have that, so why do some people keep thinking it's problem? It's not, it's likely essential, so good work Dubas.

As of today Liljegren isn't making opening night line up ether. Big hopes for the futre, but long wa to go.

The bottom 6 forwards can change a bit as long as we go with the 4 strong centres. I want to see Reilly with a stay at home defenceman and I think schenn can be this guy with his playoff experience. I wouldnāt shelter Reilly too much as he did a great job in playoffs before. We saw how valuable he was when muzzin was out.. I also wonder about Holl and gio, this seems like a great shut down line however, I havenāt really seen them use this line Iām not sure why.

Need better strategy. Control the game from the point like Boston, take higher probability shots from better angles, expend energy where required so available when needed to boost .
