Running is exactly what he did when he fought rodtang lol. And then was given an easy win the next round.
I don't know how Rodtang tanked that head kick but for the punches there's some subtle rolling with the punches there. His defense is quite methodical and there's an element of really smart and efficient intimidation.
Johnson very good at both ground game and standing fight but Rodtang is another level with his standing fight. But, I really want to see Johnson fight with Rodtang in kickboxing rule or Muay Thai. please 🙏🥺 @onefc @onechampionship @rodtang. Appreciate if One Championship could see this.

The thing about the running isn’t that it’s not a strong strat in some cases it’s that it’s often in rodtangs case being used by opponents who are getting the absolute works done to them. So they’re running and trying to tire him out and he doesn’t wanna play into that game.
It’s a two way street just like there’s no rules about running away there’s no rule that he has to chase you.
