During warmup, Pittsburgh received some good news: Jan Rutta would be returning to the lineup as the Penguins would faceoff against Marc-Andre Fleury and the Minnesota Wild. Kris Letang got the party started for Pittsburgh, making a move to give himself space and launching a tight-angle shot past Fleury with just under 5 minutes remaining in the opening period. In the middle frame, Rickard Rakell scored on the man-advantage with an absolute rocket of a shot to make it 2-0 for the home team. In the 3rd period, Evgeni Malkin found Zucker, the third forward into the offensive zone, and he one-timed the puck into the back of the net to put Pittsburgh up, 3-0, under three minutes into the period. Johansson got Minnesota on the board with a power-play tally, but it wouldn’t be enough. A little past the halfway point of the period, Brian Dumoulin entered the zone, found Drew O’Connor, and O’Connor sent a hard pass over to Jeff Carter, who expertly deflected the pass on his backhand. Tristan Jarry turned aside 27 of 28 shots in the victory.

PLAN THE PARADE

What a night this was. Astounding first period play and absolutely remarkable effort from Jarry to help hold the lead. Fleury played well too, and I wouldn't be that upset if the Wild won either, as I love Flower. Let's step up our game for these last 3 match ups, and make sure we atleast get a point in every game.
Unfortunately, It is over for the the Penguins. Florida and Islanders will not loose their games.
Can we get 4K, or even 2K video please? This is the same resolution as the early 2000s broadcasts….
No goals for 87 in 7 games in a row now. Earlier he seemed a lock for a 40/100 season and now it looks like he won't hit 90. His offense has really fallen off and hurt the teams chances.
Hang in there boys!
