I’d consider this season successful. We proved that we can win, even against the best teams. We’ve hung around some games that we shouldn’t have and won, or at least made them close. And the young players that have been trickling in have shown that they can contribute at the NHL level.

Honestly this was a very encouraging season and I seriously think the Wings have a decent shot at making the playoffs next year. The Wings improved this season after improving last season. Can’t ask for much more than that.

The Atlantic is going to be a blood bath next season. Detroit, Buffalo and Ottawa on upswings. Hell the whole conference is gonna be brutal minus philly and montreal, Columbus basically rostered a AHL team most of the season because if injuries.
