Laps Led: 636 (less than '20 & '18)
Avg finish: 10.1 (3rd best of career)
Rank: 8th (2nd best ever pts finish)
In an era that values winning over everything it definitely overshadows these stats, but he was top 2 in pts all year, just couldn't punch it in.
He has to improve in closing the deal and getting to victory lane, especially if his teammate wins multiple races again this year… But saying his career is taking a nosedive is overexaggerating a bit.
