Did Mayfield slewfoot Jeannot? Have your say!

Scott Mayfield got tangled up with Tanner Jeannot, resulting in a gruesome leg injury for Jeannot. Was this just an unfortunate event, or did Mayfield use a slewfoot to cause it? Tough Call will be reviewing the incident. Have your say!

  1. I do think Mayfield was trying to take him to the boards/trip him, but I do not think he meant to hurt Jeannot. The fall on top of him does appear somewhat intentional, but nothing past just making sure your man is tied up.

  2. And just like that a regular season game that means nothing for the lightning becomes detrimental to any chance they had at a cup.

  3. On what planet is this a slewfoot? Thats when you kick a guys skates out. Theres no contact between their skates. They are tangled up and fighting for body position. God.

  4. I’m a Bolts fan and that is definitely not a slew foot. What I do think is BS is the body slam (falling on him) that was definitely intentional. Don’t think Mayfield tried to hurt his knee but I do think he was trying to slam him to ice.
