Yeah Stillman sucks. Sorry Buffalo but I think Van got the better of the deal. When Stillman was in Vancouver he was an absolute No Show. Vancouver gets a prospect that was averaging a point a game in the OHL.

Instead of the Arizona Goalie how about Chychrun and Bjugstad for Savoie, a !st, 2nd, Portillo and Asplund. Love the Cam Talbot for a 4th and Comrie idea. Demko is a no go he's extremely overrated.
One way they can go is they can now include a dman in a trade for a dman, if that team is going to need bodies on the blueline, especially a tank team.
Something to consider though, Adams was mindful of sending Reinhart to a playoff team. On the verge of being a playoff team, might he have this line of thinking when it comes to sending guys to teams like ARI, especially guys who have been here a while, and just not wanting to do that to them? For example, imagine Girgensons having never sniffed the playoffs in his career suddenly going to tank team. Adams isn’t going to do that. Unless maybe he lost respect for the player – idk if he’s had it with Olofsson like some of us have. But I’m just not sure you can count on Adams throwing in a roster player in just any trade.
Hopefully, a change of scenery is what Stillman needs.

Looks like someone who didn't do well in the tire fire known as the Vancouver Canucks. Most didn't look good until he got here. Donny and the boys may get his best. I heard his 22 yo season had better analytics.

The Demko idea is HORRIBLE for this year. And if you analyze mid season goalie trades, they historically rarely work! Do t even consider it. I’m off season, maybe.

I watched Riley Stillman when he was in the OHL with Oshawa. At best he will be a 7th D man for Buffalo aka he will spend most of his time in Rochester. Adams got him to replace Casey Fitzgerald
Hopefully Adams can trade for a veteran stay at home , big physical D man by Fridays deadline . Luke Schenn Van Tyler Myers Van, , Josh Brown Arizona, Gavrikov CBJ, Peeke CBJ , Parayko Stl. Or , D. Savard Mtl, would be a nice addition .
Love the nick bonino SJ trade idea. Other forwards who could help with the penalty kill are Colin Blackwell Chi or Alex Kerfoot Tor.

1. if the sabres are retaining that much money, they should get at least a 2nd. minny is eating 1.75 on ROR.
2. i like the idea of you guys getting talbot, but comrie and a 4th probably doesn't do it. man up and send a 2nd.
3. if bonino's still worth anything, meh, okay. can he play a defensive role?
4. mittelstadt and a 2nd for demko? you're on drugs. there's zero chance that package gets you anything close to demko. add UPL and cozens and you may have a deal.
5. vejmelka is what he's ever going to be. he can steal you games and can also lose you games. keep savoie and kulich, i'd say mittelstadt should go in this deal, and jokiharju, portillo and ryan johnson both, a 1st, ostlund/rosen, and a 2nd. for this package, get chychrun, vejmelka, and josh brown. might be a bit much, but you get a starting goalie, a top pairing dman, and a bottom pairing dman with some muscle. hell, give them all three 2nds if they kick in lawson crouse.
portillo and ryan johnson won't sign, if you hold them past the deadline, i think it's a mistake. in AZ they'll have opportunity. waive comrie now, buy him out at year's end.
The Canucks are much improved with him out of the line up. Did Buffalo actually scout this guy, lots of luck Sabre fans.

Casey, i think is more valueable as a teammate/morale for the core group of guys then he is on the stat sheets. No need to rock the boat. Dahlin and Casey seem to be as tight as Eichs/Rhino were. Lets sign Dahlin long term before we make a Casey trade.

I would not trade Savoie. No way. One concern with Chychrun is he gets hurt a lot and doesn’t play full seasons. Not worth it.

Scratching my head on this trade? Nothing against Stillman but from where I sit the Sabres got fleeced here. Stillman's talent does not appear to come close to Broom and he is much older? Broom was a damn good prospect. That said, I certainly hope I am proven wrong here. Now I hear that the Rangers picked up Patrick Kane for only a 2nd & a 4th draft pick. Surely we could have matched that and added Bloom. You would think Kane would have loved to play for his home town and clearly it would not have cost that much. The salary cap is no issue for the Sabres. ………………….As I said, scratching my head!
