Nobody ever said they were rebuilding! Watching Vancouver media is like arguing with a wife who puts words in your mouth š good lord. Unbelievable. All you tankers need to be ok with trading Petey next year. The fact nobody even mentions this is beyond me.
For me, beyond just the ridiculousness of trading yet another 1st round pick when the team has been in the playoffs once in 10 years (and that was almost a total fluke), we literally just brought in a guy who is currently injured. Even just optically, if the Canucks ownership and management even care anymore at this point about PR, that optically looks terrible. Especially since there's no indication of when he'll be back. Finally, his contract is up after next season, after which he'll want a big raise and he's earned it. The Canucks are over the cap as it sits for next season. It's like the Canucks fired Harry Dunne and hired Lloyd Christmas.
new GM, new president of hockey operations. the only common denominator is aquilini. a 27th place team trading a 1st and 2nd round pick for a guy with his arm in a sling in one of the strongest drafts in years goes to the stupidity of this organization. worst ownership in the NHL. francesco, fire JR and alvin and save yourself the money..we all know you are behind these idiotic moves.
As a Wings fan, weāre probably out of it as far as a shot at the playoffs. I mean, look at our division š³šš¤·āāļø But I hope Hronek has great success, and gets that big contract in Vancouver. And Bert, heās 28, heās had some injuries from all of that digging and scrapping he gets into. He deserves a cup! š And Iām rooting for him to get it!
