It’s a hell of an accomplishment. Boston is a hell of a team. They haven’t had a slump all year. The next 2 months are not the time to go into one

You know he doesn’t actually play the games right?

Not bad for a first year coach, I know he’ll get penalized for how talented the team is but he really should win the Jack Adams.
Jesotx
He’s the most Canadian coach we’ve ever had

7 wins would’ve been ties in the 95-96 season so not really comparable to the Red Wings season.

Crazy to manage this feat… in this day in age.
Bruins have been on a tear all season. Curious to see what they do in the playoffs.

Wish the Stars woulda kept him around.

I mean the players had a little something to do with it too, but it’s good to see Monty make a comeback.
As a Stars fan I liked him and I would have liked to know how different their last few seasons could have been if he hadn’t drunk himself out of the head coach job here.
Congrats to him and Boston for a terrific season.

“Jim Montgomery has broken the record” “One man, 63 wins”

Can’t wait to see them flop in the playoffs. Helps when half the league sucks or underperformed.

So….. we got Seguin for partying too hard in Boston, and Boston got Monty for partying too hard in Dallas….. who comes out on top?
Desperate-Peter-Pan
Didn’t the team win 63 games? I don’t recall seeing him on the ice scoring goals or diving to block a shot
burkeocet
Incredible coach.
It was clear in Dallas he was a brilliant coach and I’m glad to see his life is on the right track and he’s having the success he deserves.
