  1. I don't hate this move if there is another move coming through a trade before the deadline. But if this is it, I don't really understand the thought process of GM Hex. We grabbed an over priced play maker with term but didn't add any one with defense or grit. Would have loved to land Tom Wilson if available.

  2. Penguins need a finisher. We have play makers out the bum. We can not pass into the net. Fire HexSTALL

  3. This was your chance to redeem yourself Hextall. Mario please intervene and get him fires. To bad the damage is already done tho

  4. Just awful trade as he is trending in the wrong way. Everyone will be deflated by the next trade deadline

  5. It seriously baffles me that Hextall ejected 4 roster players to clear cap space, and this is what he does with the cap space. At this point it's obvious that Hextall has no plan and is just winging it, hence why he couldn't write down a plan.

  6. I actually don’t hate this move. The Preds don’t have the supporting cast that we do at the Pens right now.

I wasn’t a fan of Hextall moving Marino and Matheson, but Grandlund may actually work out.

We have always been looking to replace the role the Kühnhackl played in our back-to-back championship runs.

Kapanen was brought in to fill that void – but never panned-out.

If Grandlund can help our PP outcomes, and dish to scorers – then his addition will suffice.

Im looking forward to his addition. Im clearly in the minority. Understood.

    Im still watching every game.

    Let’s Go 🐧‘s

  7. Needed a top 10 goalie. No modern team has won the cup with out a top 10 goalie.

  8. Unless they flip Granlund is was really pathetic. He finally flushed kapanan (see he doesn't even deserve a Capital K) thankfully the Blues picked him up freeing his Cap hit but S_itting it out with Granlund. Carter needs to retire Move Dumo, Ruhwedel and DeSmith – I wouldn't be ticked off like I am now if they acquire Gibson but again how are you paying him Pettersen better stay and even POJ.

  9. This has to be the end of the road for hextall. Granlund isn't a horrible pickup but his contract for what he provides sucks.

  10. We went from a 26 year old to a 31 year old. Look what the Rangers have done and New Jersey. They are serious about winning. Hextall IS NOT!!!!!! I had high hopes for Ron……….NOT ANYMORE!!!!

  11. I personally hate the trade bc no salary retention whatsoever. But I do think he fits better than you elaborated on. He has chemistry with Zucker & Sully likes to shake up the lines. Also, I'd like to point out that expecting the top 6 to be fully healthy is unreasonable. I don't want to watch us lose bc Rakell gets injured once again. Also underating him a bit.. I think his play making abilities & high hockey IQ will make a big difference. O'Conner, Heinen, etc can become finishers if they have some help. His stats the year b4 look pretty good with 60+ points in 80 games. I feel like his underlying analytics are down more so bc 1st line matchups while in Nash
