Crosby CLASSIC with 1.5 seconds on the clock!

The Pittsburgh Penguins put the pressure on as Jake Guentzel forces a turnover and Sidney Crosby picks up the puck before snapping home a vintage backhander for a goal with 1.5 seconds remaining in the first period to give the Penguins a 2-0 lead over the Detroit Red Wings.

  1. Don't come out from behind your net, in front of your goalie, with Sid if your face boys and girls.

  2. Nothing like trying to beat the fore checker as the last man back right in front of the net. Thatā€™s a dā€™oh,

  3. What a career! I was in elementary school when I started watching him in the QMJHL. Apart from a rocky emotional start as an 18 year old, he quickly matured into one of the all-time greats, not just point wise, but for his complete 200ft game. I only wonder how many points he would have if he didn't have his concussion injuries, and lockdown/covid impacted seasons.

  4. I don't know if Pittsburgh's going to make it into the playoffs or not. it's not looking good for them, as of this posting. But Crosby's done everything you could ask of him to drag Pittsburgh into contention.
