Tage Thompson reminds me so much of Phil Esposito. Once he'd been traded from Chicago to Boston, he became a true NHL legend. All it took was going to the right team, with the right coach, and the right group of players, and he led the Bruins to their first Stanley Cup victory in decades in 1971. Let us all hope that he does not fall victim to the injury bug, and that he will lead Buffalo to their first Stanley Cup win!
Can’t wait for sabres hockey to start again this Saturday…I never thought I’d say that cause they’ve been an awful team for a long while. The sabres have a special group of players coming up who will only get better
It's never a lose trade in any form even if the team traded a generational talent…as long as that team ended up winning the Stanley Cup. Blues definitely would've made the same trade again now even if Tage Thompson ends up being a consisted 60 goal scorer. They won a Stanley Cup from it. Their one and only Stanley Cup in like 50+ years. That's a big win trade for them.
This is one of those win-win trades where both teams benefitted greatly.

Hopefully he'll be in a Boston uniform soon!! We could use him and I dont see him getting to the post season with Buffalo in the next few years..
