OC and DC have to take the full responsibility for the teamās success while Kidd watches the games. He still has to take blame for pathetic rotations.
Im going to tell you what mavs should do and It is calling Pablo Laso former Real Madrid Luka's headcoach and bring him in as offensive coach. He is such a brilliant mind with no room for effortless. I think Luka wouldnt want him here because he would be very honest and critical with him. But not only for Luka. Pablo Laso played a highspeed all court basketball with Luka on the team. Also dominantes Euroleague with outstandint rotation lineups. Such an underrated coach from Luka's recent past. Call him is a win.
Kidd is an idiot and needs to pay a price for being that stupid but Cuban is just as bad and needs to learn how to keep his mouth shut as well. I think he needs a pass for his tanking though that was actually needed and I thought he had started to tank months before they actually claimed to start that process, but that is probably just because the team is really that bad. Hindsight they should have still added Kyrie he is a good addition but they just made a bad descision in not making other moves that would have improved the defense. I saw what other teams did to improve and there where players that we could have had here for very little that could have boosted the defense.
Only reason Kidd & Nico are back for Disaster rd 2 is because Cuban doesn't care about winning with the Mavs, All he cares about is his shark tank POS show! So if they don't make any changes after going for Final 4 in NBA playoffs to a Lottery Team in 1 year and became the Laughing stock of the NBA it's because Cuban doesn't give a Shit what a joke this team is and what an Embarrassment to the City they are now and most wished they would move this team to another city PLEASE!!! We need a New Basketball Franchise in Dallas!!! GO LAKERS!! GO GSW!!!

Iām convinced at this point that Cuban picked the fight with Brunsons dad to justify the tank and get some cover if the league says anything. Playing the victim to make it look like his hand was forced.

If they don't want to fire Kidd they need to surround him with better assistants. Then he can watch the Games and the others can coach. IMO losing Igor was a bigger deal than what they would probably admit

One big difference between Rick and Kidd is that Rick could literally make something out of nothing. I remember some of those Dirk teams had no business being in the playoffs and competing against anyone. But Rick was so good and making adjustments and hiding weaknesses on defense. He really is a basketball genius.
its abundantly clear Kidd is on this staff for player relationships. it is pretty telling that no reports came out about players being unhappy with him despite such a disastrous season. But if we are going to keep him here in that role, we can not have the coaching staff we had. We need technically sound coaches to draw up legitimate schemes offensively and defensively.

This team had a bad season for myriad reasons. I think you guys are unduly harsh on Kidd. At least NIck. I am actually on board with Isaac''s. He deserves at least another half season.
I think the league investigates regardless of what Kidd says, Nick is right though, it seems to be selective outrage.

Kidd may not win next season, look he had the # 1, and 2 point guards this past season and they did not have a winning season.
Problem with the tanking is the ticket prices reflected the urgency of the game. Tanking and load management are a huge disservice for the people buying tickets to watch an actual game.

Absolutely no reason for him to return he treatās regular season like a joke. he plays favorites with Dwight Powell and he puts players in the dog house for no reason. Even when we are lacking players. All the people saying defense I was at the hornets game in Charlotte when we was getting stops the rebounding is part of defense.when 2nd chance points are allowed then the first hold didnāt matter thatās deflating when you clamp up and donāt finish the play. This happened all season even past 2nd chance to 3rd snd 4th chances because the rebounding is terrible. I donāt care about liking Kidd or not. He doesnāt coach, dude literally is a glorified Steve Nash just lets players do the work and get credit. His second seasons suck. Udoka is available. You canāt say western conference finals is equalizer to being a lottery pick either.

Luka is not just a valuable offensive player. The fact that he rebounds at a high level helps the defense, preventing as many second shots. It's unfair to say he "doesn't play defense". He's one of the most valuable players who has ever played in the NBA, to be perfectly honest! The team needs a rim protector and rebounding help.
Iām beginning to wonder if Kidd is really a problem or if itās just the circumstances heās been given.
