  1. Let me know if you think this is something they should even consider or is there any chance the 1st pick would be traded…I’d say not a chance this year

  2. If Montreal did that, i would hope Otts is on the phone making deals for Kidney/Roy combo… no joke.

  3. McDavid's Erie team (Stome, both Raddysh's, Debrincat, etc) was a little bit more talented then Regina except for a few ex: Svozil, Howe and a few others. Go Saskatoon!!! If some of the teams change their structure based on whether they win Bedard draft, then of course, as you mentioned, teams will change course of drafting…. however, only within reason. Who's taking Karlsson's contract?? how many first round picks would SJ have to trade to potential partner to take Karlsson's, 13.9% of cap hit?

  4. I don't think it would be enough, like would the Oilers trade McDavid for Suzuki and Caufield. Sure Bedard has done nothing in the NHL, but both Habs players had long dry spell this year, I wouldn't say they're sure shots yet.

  5. Hehe.. as a hab fan.. if habs got #2 overall(via lottery) then would I trade(suz/cc) for #1 pick. Getting Fantilli and Bedard.. in the draft.. is just hard to pass..
If I wasn't a hab fan.. trading #1(Bedard) is nuts.. even for suz/cc.. i would ask for more.

  6. Very funny! Toss in Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau & a replica Stanley Cup! Nobody is trading Bedard. Montreal fans live in a fantasy world.

  7. Although Connor Bedard is a potential generational player, at 5'10" the NHL is a humongous step from Junior hockey…

Bedard has yet to prove he can be dominant at the NHL level… whereas Suzuki and Caufield both have showed their talent, produced and are currently an impact offensively.

I definitely would NOT do this trade on the Habs end…

  8. This would kill all team chemistry that they are still trying to build. This trade would set them back. They will better sticking with the 5th pick if that's how it ends up. Adding anyone from the top 5 picks will drastically help this team

  9. This is Laughable! 🤣 Try throwing in a few first round picks as well! Can Cole Caulfield play more than, half a season without a major injury!

  10. Hey Mike!! go back and do "re do " of the 2019 draft and see where Caufield would rank by todays stats! he went 15th??!! seems wrong to me. and Habs still ended up with Kirby Dach 3rd over all that year….. don't trade for Bedard! Habs are fine. could we pick first 2 years in a row??!! :))

  11. Sillyness So its Bedard, its still just one man, handing over 2 good forwards to a team that could get Fantilli would be pure folly
