Brad Marchand spoke to the media after the Boston Bruins defeated the Washington Capitals 5-2 on Tuesday night.The Bruins are the now the most successful regular-season team in NHL history, owning both the single-season wins and points records.
Marchand on the Bruins record-setting regular season: “It’s not our be all or end all. It’s an incredible accomplishment. We’re very proud of this group and what we’ve been able to accomplish. To be the top points and the most wins ever is an incredible accomplishment.”
Marchand’s scored his first goal in 17 games.

Still have to give him props if he hasn't been as big as a goal scorer this year. He sure as hell has made up for it with being a play maker and team player. And as the reporter pointed out, it doesn't matter that much when your depth scoring is just that good

Brad Marchand is an esssential component of the B's offense, no matter how many goals he scores. Anyone watching knows that hockey is a game of inches (or millimeters, if you prefer). Some of the goals he didn't make were clanks off the iron, or very lucky saves. Other times his shot just wasn't quite "it". but with his talent and work ethic you know he was going to catch the net eventually. Now, watch him catch fire in the playoffs.
Marchand isn't just about scoring for himself. He's about being a key part of the team.
Love Marchand. My favorite player. Evah.
